💙 Signing Off! 💙
Bittersweet moment alert! After two incredible, fast-paced, and beautifully chaotic years, it is time for me to officially step down as your PTO Secretary and Social Media Coordinator.

If you would have told me two years ago how much fun (and how many Canva designs!) would go into this role, I wouldn't have believed you. From tracking meeting minutes, asking for photos to share of events to blowing up your feeds with event reminders, spirit wear launches, and volunteer shout-outs, it has been an absolute joy to keep our school community connected.

To my fellow board and PTO members: thank you for the laughs, the late-night texts, and your endless dedication. To our wonderful teachers and staff: you make all this hard work worth it. (Shout out to Kelly for the intercom takeover. I'll be back!)
And to YOU—our amazing school families—thank you for liking, sharing, commenting, and showing up. This community is truly special.

I might be stepping away from the keyboard and the secretary desk, but I’ll still be around, cheering on our school from the sidelines!

Please give a warm welcome to the incoming board members who will be taking over the page soon. Keep supporting them the way you supported me!

Did you know the Black Hawk PTO gives a scholarship to a Black Hawk Alumni??

Tonight after a fun Field Day our current PTO president has the honor to present a 2026 Burlington High School Grad with the Black Hawk PTO scholarship to continue her education next fall🎓 (There may have been a little extra “grad survival kit” complete with snacks !)

🐾💜PTO strives to not only give back within our immediate Black Hawk family but also recognize and help grow the future of our alumni’s 🐾

Thank you to all who help us fundraiser throughout the year and allowing us this amazing opportunity to give back to our community!

Time to celebrate! Our school just got a big boost of help from and its Cash for
Classrooms grant program. We will receive $25,000 to begin building an all inclusive playground in the 2026/2027 school year!

We hope all the staff had a little fun today during PTO take over!!
Snack drinks and some good laughs. Thank you to Mrs.Hatten and office staff for allowing an intercom takeover as well!!
We hope this week has been able to show just some of the 💜 and appreciation PTO has for all of our amazing staff at Black Hawk!!!

Hey, Hey, Hey! 📣

The PTO is taking over the halls today with the ultimate Afternoon Pick-Me-Up Cart. We know being a teacher is "totally radical," but even the best need a timeout before the final bell rings.

🍫 The Kelly": Sweet treats that are almost too cute to eat.

💪 "The Slater": High-protein snacks for those heavy-lifting lesson plans.

😎"The Screech": Something a little nerdy, a little salty, and totally unique.

🧋"The Lisa ": High-fashion caffeine and sparkling refreshments.

We’re cruising the hallways like Belding looking for Morris! Keep an ear out for the bell—when you hear us coming, grab a treat and remember: "It's alright, 'cause You’re Saved by the Snacks!"

Put down the oversized brick phone and grab a plate, because today we’re celebrating the real MVPs of our school—our incredible staff!

It’s going to be all that and a bag of chips (well, breadsticks, actually).

We’ve got a spread even AC Slater would envy

The Jessie "I’m So Excited" Salad: Fresh, crisp greens to keep you energized—no caffeine pills required!
The Zack: Chicken Alfredo: Slick, classic, and definitely the star of the show.
The Kelly: Eggplant Parm: Sweet, classic, and a total crowd-pleaser.
The Screech Breadsticks: A little cheesy, but we couldn't imagine the meal without them!
