Great first weekend of games at the annual Muscatine tournament. More than 10 of our younger teams took the field for their first games of the new season. Plenty of growth, learning, success, and fun! Every team and player played hard, showed what they had been working on the first 2 weeks of practices, and played the SESA way, with good sportsmanship, skills, and passion.

We can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for our incredible players, teams, coaches, and families! Shout out to all of our 🍉 winners 🏆!

Massive congratulations to Baret on completing the US Soccer Coaching Educator GR License! This rigorous course requires coaches to hold a National B license, be nominated, go through an application, session recording submission, & interview process before being selected. Baret was one of only 26 in the nation selected for the course, of hundreds nominated.

"This is another great advantage for coaches and players in the area. Being able to run more local courses and offer them more frequently means that more coaches have access to this education. I'm excited about working with the Iowa Soccer coaching education team and continuing on the educator pathway. With Iowa Soccer member clubs able to attend GR courses for free, and now being able to run multiple local courses throughout the year, we can remove even more barriers. It's exciting to get all of the SESA coaches continuing their education and working towards the national D & C licenses, with having easier access to the GR courses." - Baret

We had a great week of summer camp last week! Players from all over learned new skills, played fun games, & made new friends. Players got to work with 2 of the SESA semi-pro players; Danny from England, & Kazuki from Japan! Some heat & rain didn't stop these campers from having a great time!

The World Cup final 🏆 is set to be an exciting match up. Come down to the Port of Burlington, July 19th for the Community Watch Party.

Free & open to the public. 🍔 Food trucks, 🥤 beverages, ⚽️ activities for kids & adults, 🎯 dunk tank, 💦 splash pad, 🎟 raffles to win some awesome prizes, 📸 get your team together for a photo op with the world cup trophy, & more.

🕛 The fun starts at noon. Game kicks off at 2pm, with multiple screens for easy viewing. The party continues until the final whistle & award ceremony.
