💙✨ CITY HOPE BRIDGES: THE LADIES BEHIND THE SCENES ✨💙
Our hearts are so full today as we think about the incredible ladies who serve alongside us at City Hope Bridges! 👩‍👩‍👧‍👦🙏❤️ A shoutout to Ms. Mona (Director of Bridges), Brittny (Bridges Assistant), and Kerston (Community Resources).

What people see are the fun events, the laughter, the games, the food, the crafts, and the memories being made. 🎨🎈🌭🎲📸 What they don't always see are the weeks of planning, the endless texts and phone calls, the shopping trips, the organizing, the problem-solving, and the countless hours poured into making every single event special for our families. 🗓️📲🛒📦🧠🕵️‍♀️

These women are absolute rock stars! 🎸🌟 They show up early, stay late, and work tirelessly behind the scenes. 🕒💪 On event days, they rarely stop moving! 🏃‍♀️💨 They're serving food, helping children, running activities, welcoming families, taking pictures, cleaning up, and doing whatever needs to be done to make sure everyone feels loved and included. 🍽️👶🎉👋📸🧹❤️

We are so thankful for the way they care for our families. 🥰🙌 They notice the little things, celebrate victories, offer encouragement, and make sure people feel seen, valued, and cared for. 👀🏆💬 From the tallest to the smallest, they love on our families with kindness, patience, compassion, and joy. 🌲👶💖😇☀️

To these amazing women, thank you for coming alongside the City Hope Foundation in this work. 🏢🤝 Thank you for your servant-hearts, your dedication, your creativity, your flexibility, and your willingness to jump in wherever needed. 💖🔥🎨🤸‍♀️🩹

**Important Update: Burlington Pantry Closing @10:30AM Today**

The City Hope Cupboard will be open for modified hours today, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Our staff and volunteers will be closing early today so that we can attend the funeral and honor the life of a very close, dear friend, and dedicated volunteer, Naomi Lightfoot.

Naomi passed away on May 26th at the age of 83. She was a beautiful, bright soul who deeply loved the Lord Jesus, spreading His word and His hope wherever she went. She had a massive heart for helping others, was incredibly hardworking, and was always there to support the City Hope Cupboard and our community. We are going to miss her more than words can say.

To our patrons: Please make sure to come in and gather your items before 10:30 a.m. today, as we will be closing promptly at that time so our team can say their final goodbyes.

Thank you all for your understanding, your patience, and your prayers for Naomi’s family and our volunteer team during this difficult time. Let's carry on her legacy of love and helping one another today.

If you are needing medical care, a friendly smile is waiting to welcome you through our doors this evening. Tonight from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, City Hope Medical Clinic is open and ready to serve you at 904 Maple Street, Burlington, Iowa. 🏢✨

While we are incredibly blessed to have a total network of over 50 certified doctors, nurses, and volunteers who generously give their time to our mission, we have a very special tradition for whichever team members are on staff each night. Before our doors even open to the public, that evening's team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers gathers together to lift our hands and our hearts in prayer. 🙏✨

Together, they pray for each other, they pray for our clinic, and most importantly, they pray specifically for the patients we will see tonight. We ask for wisdom, healing, and comfort so that we can give you the very best care possible.

We are completely blown away by how God has showered our community with blessings this past weekend, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! Because of your incredible outpouring of love and generosity, our City Hope Cupboard Burlington Food Pantry is ready to serve local families during a crucial time of year. ❤️📦

With school letting out soon, many local students will be home for the summer, and their households will be in need of extra food. Providing meals to families with school-aged children is a vital part of our giving purpose. The wonderful food and funds donated this weekend will help provide consistent staples that families need, directly supporting over 75 families over the next several weeks! Your generosity ensures no child in our neighborhood has to go hungry this season. Whether you dropped off items, donated at the register, or gave a financial gift—you were a direct answer to prayer! 🎒👦👧

FUNDRAISER AT HY-VEE!✨

Kick off your Memorial Day weekend with a heart of gold! Join us on May 22nd and 23rd from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at BOTH Burlington Hy-Vee locations for an amazing community event to raise support for the City Hope Cupboard Burlington Food Pantry! ☀️

With summer break right around the corner, our local kiddos will be home soon. We are reaching out to our amazing community to help us gather donations for everyday staples and kid-friendly favorites! 🎒👦👧
