This exciting expansion of Milk with Dignity comes on the heels of our recent breakthrough in the campaign to bring Hannaford Supermarket into the Program. We recently shared the news that the National Contact Point for Responsible Business Conduct in the Netherlands advanced our human rights complaint against the corporation. The decision will result in a direct dialogue with Hannaford’s Netherlands-based parent company, mediated by the Dutch panel, a campaign first.

Even as Migrant Justice advances the work of holding multinational corporations accountable for the well-being of farmworkers in their supply chains, we are supporting the development of alternative food systems from the bottom up.

The advocacy org for immigrant dairy workers has partnered with nonprofits to create the first food product under the Milk With Dignity program.

In the first year of Trump 2.0, Vermont saw more than a tenfold increase in immigration detentions. Vermont Public's recent special report shines some light on the new enforcement patterns driving that increase.

Efrain: "Stop exploiting us. Treat us like the human beings that we are."

Like most dairy workers, Efrain was paid less than minimum wage for years while his boss denied him a raise. Injustices like these will continue on farms until Hannaford takes responsibility and joins .

Gerardo was working on a dairy farm when his manager hit him with the skid steer – a piece of heavy farm equipment used to scrape manure and move animal feed/bedding. They didn't help him up or get him to the hospital, and then pushed him to work despite the doctor's orders. Gerardo is now calling on Hannaford to join so that other workers don't have to experience the same abuse.
