We’re honored to share that Sail Beyond Cancer Vermont has been selected as a City Market Rally for Change parter for the month of June! 💙

Throughout June, City Market shoppers can “round up” at the register to support Sail Beyond Cancer and help provide free healing sails on Lake Champlain for individuals and families challenged by cancer.

A few cents at checkout can help create moments of peace, connection, laughter, and joy during some of life’s most difficult times.

Not all heroes wear life jackets but ours often do. 💙⛵

With more than 100 nominations already received for the 2026 season, our volunteers are already hard at work preparing for another summer of connection and community on Lake Champlain.

Captains, crew, and ambassadors are refreshing their skills, reviewing safety procedures, and getting Tranquility ready to welcome guests aboard. Their dedication ensures every passenger feels safe, supported, and cared for from the moment they step on deck.

Yesterday, Tranquility arrived at her summer home in Burlington. 💙⛵

Now, we’re getting ready for a summer filled with healing sails, meaningful moments, and community for individuals and families challenged by cancer. The season is almost here. ⚓

Our Season Opener is Back! 🎉🥳

Join us on the waterfront on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 12 PM - 6 PM to celebrate the start of another incredible season on Lake Champlain. Come make memories with your loved ones at this fun-filled, family-friendly event!

Here’s what to look forward to at the event:

🌊 $10 Sails - Sails depart every hour from 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM. Catch the breeze on Sail Beyond Cancer VT’s Tranquility, Whistling Man Schooner’s Wild Rose & Friendship, or one of our Sonars. Each boat seats 6-10 passengers. Spots will go quickly, so register today with the link in bio!

👀 Come See Boats - Ever wonder what a Coast Guard boat looks like? Ever seen an antique boat? We are excited to feature some awesome boats brought to you by our community partners. Stop by our parking lot and waterfront dock to view the many different boats that float on Lake Champlain!

🎨 Paint a Sail - Grab a paintbrush and your favorite color, help bring one of our sails to life. Be part of this community art project and leave your mark on the water. No experience needed, just come ready to create. This sail won’t hang in a gallery, it’ll be out on the lake this summer. Keep an eye out and see your work in action!

☀️ Tie Knots - Knot-tying is a core sailing skill. Learn how we use knots on our boats from cleat hitches to bowlines and figure eights. Then, put your skills to the test. Show off your new knot-tying skills to earn a prize!

💪 Try Your Hand at Hiking - Put your core strength to the test on our simulated hiking boards! Hiking is a key sailing technique where you use your bodyweight to counter the force of the wind. Think you’ve got what it takes? Challenge your friends and family, and stake your bragging rights.

⛵ Create Cork Boats - Always wanted to own your own sailboat? Well, now you can! Create and decorate your own sailboat while learning some fun facts about Lake Champlain!
