Unfortunately, due to insufficient donations, we are eliminating all non-essential expenses, including our website in May, our phone, and our mailbox. You may still contact us via Facebook and make donations through the PayPal Giving Fund. I am unable to continue answering messages and phone calls from individuals desperately requesting assistance, as it has taken a toll on my mental well-being to repeatedly turn people away. I have greatly appreciated the friendships I have developed along the way. Many individuals have become like family to us. I had ambitious aspirations and high hopes of eradicating homelessness in Alamance County. We have collaborated with numerous esteemed agencies and assisted many individuals since our establishment in 2018. However, there comes a time, after repeated attempts to achieve success, when one realizes it is time to relinquish the position and allow other organizations to continue the work. We extend our sincere gratitude for your support throughout the years, and to our unhoused friends who have demonstrated the true meaning of unconditional love. We also thank our dedicated volunteers for their support over the years. We will continue to distribute coffee and snacks on Friday mornings in downtown Burlington for as long as funding permits. It has been an honor to serve and continue to serve this community.
Sincerely,
Janet Triola, CEO/Founder
