Bow Thayer has spent four decades carving out a musical world entirely his own, bringing roots, rock, blues, psychedelia, and global influences together with an inventor’s instinct for experimentation.

Bow Thayer’s ‘Ninevah’: Central Vermont songwriter serves up captivating masterpiece!

Thayer and his band, Bowmen — Guthrie, Ferraris, Eric George on bass and his son River Thayer on drums — will celebrate the album in Vermont with a release show Friday at the SEABA Center in Burlington, where they’ll be joined by Rohr and Canney and will play most of the album in addition some of Thayer’s older material.

☀️ FREE SHOW! Saturday Porch Sessions continue with ‘Them Apples’! Now from 12-2pm on the porch during the Farmers Market bring your lunch and grab a $5 mimosa! 🍹

🍏 Them Apples is an acoustic duo featuring Kirk Flanagan and Barbara Richmond. When they’re not playing in their jangle-pop-punk band Happy Spangler, the duo strips their music down to its core, delivering a fluid mix of original songs and reimagined classics. Rooted in Burlington’s creative community, their performances bring a seasoned collaborative energy to the stage.

Art Hop Juried Show Winners (post 1 of 2) 🏆

That’s a wrap! The Art Hop Juried Show was a massive success at the new SEABA Center. Thank you to all the artists and visitors this month!

Meet the Juror:

Rebecca McNamara is Chief Curator at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, Connecticut. A curator of 19th-century through contemporary American art, with a focus on craft-oriented practices, she centers her curatorial work on interdisciplinary engagement, close collaboration, promoting emerging and under-represented artists, and facilitating new perspectives.

Statement on the 2026 Art Hop Juried Show:

There is great talent and skill throughout this exhibition, and selecting prize winners—especially among the variety of art—was an incredible challenge. Each of the selected works demonstrates tremendous care from the artist—for both ex*****on of materials and ideas they evoke. With each, looking again and again leads to more discoveries about the work and ourselves, and become works that may stay in our minds over time.

First Place:

In “The Least of These,” Wendy Davis inscribes the gate with names—reminding us that the scene is reflective of some humans’ lived realities, while the physical layers and torn scraps remind of the complex, long histories of imprisonment long before ICE.

Looks like Rebecca aligned well with the public as “The Least of These” by Wendy Davis also received the most votes in the ‘People’s Choice’ award! There’s a close runner up that we will connect with as well. Every piece got votes and we’ve loved seeing friends and family of artists coming in to support their work. A fantastic display of talents that everyone noted! 👏

🚧 Closing the street out front and fully bringing the vibes inside with live music and the Art Hop Juried Show and Curator’s Choice exhibition at The SEABA Center!

🎶 Set times include the fabulous CHEETATAH Groovy Electric House on the porch from 5-7pm, The Eyetraps at 7:30 on stage inside followed by MOMDAD around 8:15, Mimi Fang at 9pm, and topped off with yabaiband at 9:45!

We can’t wait to see you and show off all the hard work we’ve been putting into The SEABA Center with Luke Awtry Photography Erin Bundock Savanah Tebeau-Sherry Kristen Eaton Christy Mitchell David Magnanelli and our whole amazing team and volunteers!
