NEXT WEEK: The West Bank is experiencing unprecedented israeli settler violence backed by the zionist occupation. In January 2026, the shepherding village Ras Ein Al Auja became among the latest Palestinian community to be ethnically cleansed. Two of our Vermont neighbors were in Ras al Ein for the winter when this happened, and are back now to share the story of Ras and surrounding villages of Jericho.

> Saturday 23 May (memorial day wknd)
> 6:30-8 PM
> @ Springfield IU Church, 21 Fairground Rd, Springfield VT

From the River: Ethnic Cleansing in the West Bank village of Ras Ein Al Auja

‘From the River’: This part of Palestine lies along the Jordan River, the eastern edge of Palestinian land which then stretches west to the Mediterranean Sea. Despite facing violent annexation by the zionist state, Palestinians remain steadfast until the day Palestine is free.

More dates & locations in central Vermont & the Upper Valley TBA soon.

‘Once the most influential Jewish political force in eastern Europe, the Bund was secular, socialist, and uncompromisingly anti-Zionist. The Bundists fought for dignity and equality, not in an imagined homeland in Palestine but “here where we live.”’

We’ll gather 4 times, each time to discuss a section of the book (the sections are called Underground, Revolution, the Alternate World, & Fire): what stood out to us, what was similar and different about those times & circumstances vs now, how we can use lessons of the Bund today, etc.

The PJC can order a book for you at ~$22 (wholesale price). These will be available for pick-up at the PJC. If you prefer e-book, the PJC has a bookshop.org shop. Get a copy wherever you prefer, these are just some options! If you’d like to participate but need assistance covering book costs, reach out at [email protected]

Excited to share the next episode of the Burlington Future Show! We interviewed Sam Bliss from about how they have been able to serve food every single day for six years running, and learned a lot about mutual aid, non-market food systems, and community!

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! “Earth’s Greatest Enemy” will be shown at on Wednesday 22 April 5:55 PM, hosted by comrades in honor of Earth Day.

“Exempt from international climate agreements and rarely scrutinized in mainstream reporting, the Pentagon is the world’s single largest institutional polluter—spewing carbon, contaminating water, and scarring landscapes across the globe. Combining investigative journalism, striking visuals, and stories from impacted communities, this film challenges audiences to rethink the hidden costs of a global military empire and its planetary consequences. Provocative, urgent, and eye-opening, this is a documentary that will change how you see both the military and environmentalism.”

We’re in deep appreciation of everyone who gave testimony at the special hearing of the VT State Committee on Judiciary. You are so brave; we know it’s no small thing to recount a traumatic event to a crowd! If you don’t get to share last night (or have more to say), email or post your testimonies to the committee:

Day of Solidarity with the Prairieland 9! Saturday 4 April 2-4PM @ PJC - Join us for a teach-in and letterwriting. A noise demo at a Texas ice camp last 4 July has been used as an excuse for the feds to increase criminalization of dissent and go after the left as terrorists, calling the protestors an “antifa cell”. On 13 march they were all handed guilty convictions on many of the counts, incl ‘providing materials to support terrorists.’ Some folks were picked up & charged for such benign things as transporting zines and deleting someone from a Signal chat.

As we reorient to life in an increasingly totalitarian state, one thing that remains true is we are stronger together. The state creates cases like this bc they’re desperate to scare us into silence. But we will continue to come together, to learn from each other, and show up for one another, near or far.
