When her family needed support, they found a welcoming place to stay close to care and a community that understood the challenges they were facing.

Now, she's giving back by volunteering at Ronald McDonald House Australia, supporting families on their own medical journeys and helping them feel seen, supported and less alone!

Today marks the anniversary of the opening of the first Ronald McDonald House, and one year since we introduced our modernized brand alongside our Family Stays platform.

Over the last year, Chapters around the world have brought our new brand to life, all while celebrating the families at the heart of our mission.

When a child is ill or injured, family isn’t just there for a visit. They stay for the long haul. Ronald McDonald House makes it stay that way.

This year's team includes healthcare professionals, Chapter staff, volunteers, corporate partners, and passionate supporters from communities around the world.

Different experiences brought them to the starting line, but together they're helping more families access the care, resources, and support they need throughout their child's healthcare journey.

A big congratulations and THANK YOU to our 1,500+ Team Ronald McDonald House runners, volunteers, and incredible sponsors who joined us at this year’s Chicago Marathon as we celebrated the team’s 20th anniversary!

For two decades, runners have gone the distance with one shared goal: helping families stay close to the care their children need.

This year, thanks to your support, we raised over $3.8 million to help provide families with access to care along their child’s healthcare journey. Here’s to 20 more years of going the extra mile for Ronald McDonald House families ❤️

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a time to honor the children and families whose lives have been changed by cancer and to recognize all that families navigate throughout their treatment.

Cancer treatment can mean long drives, extended stays, countless appointments, and time away from home. Through it all, families should be able to focus on what matters most: caring for their child and being together.

At Ronald McDonald House, we’re honored to help families stay close to the care their child needs while finding comfort, community, and a sense of home – this September and every day. ❤️

As we recognize this September, we're thinking of the NICU families supported by Ronald McDonald House programs around the world ❤️

Families like baby Grayson's.

Grayson was born early at 33 weeks and needed immediate surgery and specialized care. For nearly a month while Grayson was in the NICU, his parents, Paige and Jordan, stayed just steps away at Ronald McDonald House Louisville

"Being at Ronald McDonald House allowed us to be with Grayson in the NICU as much as possible," Paige says. "It was the biggest blessing to us on our journey."

Jeremy, Jessica, and their three children stayed at Ronald McDonald House Atlanta for over 60 nights while their son participated in a feeding therapy program nearby.

At Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay, Inc., Olivia and her team helped families get back-to-school ready with fresh haircuts. We're grateful to community members like Olivia who give back in meaningful ways, helping families feel supported and experience moments of normalcy during challenging times.

While Harlow and Hadley were in the NICU, the Rardon family found comfort and support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. Now, the twins have made it a tradition to give back by volunteering at the House each year, even spending part of their birthday this year packing lunches and preparing a meal for families staying at the House.

We are excited to share that starting tomorrow, for the entire month of May, RMHC has been selected by store leadership at Hannaford Supermarkets 217 Dorset St. South Burlington location to receive a $1 donation from every purchase of each $2.50 Community Bag. The Community Bag Program facilitates community support with the goal of making a difference where shoppers live and work. Spearheaded by a group of determined volunteers, RMHC Burlington opened its doors in 1984 to offer a home away from home for families of hospitalized children. Fast forward to 2024, we now celebrate 40 years of providing a warm home, nourishment, respite and a listening ear to families when they need it the most. RMHC's longevity would not have been possible without the remarkable dedication of our volunteers. They have contributed their time and talents and have been instrumental in the continued success of our mission. This week, Volunteer Week, we salute all of our RMHC volunteers, past and present, and we thank you for your hearts, your service and for "keeping families close"

Since 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has been committed to Ronald McDonald Houses across the country in their philanthropy. Our very own UVM Alpha Delta Pi cooks and bakes for our guests on the weekends when school is in session and they host various "fun" raising events throughout the school year. This weekend they raised 3K for RMHC Burlington through a 5K walk/run on campus. We are grateful for their service to our guests and the House. Thank you UVM Alpha Delta Pi!!!!!!!!!
