📸 Colorado 4-H Online Digital Photo Contest
Who Can Enter:
All Colorado 4-H members ages 8–18 are eligible—you do not need to be in the Photography project.
Photo Requirements:
• Must be taken by the 4-H member
• Photo must be taken during the current 4-H year
Submission Process:
• Submit entries via the Colorado 4-H FairEntry system
• Log in using your current 4-H Online family email and password.
Deadline: 📅 July 15
Winning Photos: 🏆 Displayed during the Colorado State Fair in the 4-H Exhibit Display Dining Hall

Colorado State Fair Nomination forms were due in the Extension Office June 1st.
There has been some confusion since the forms also have the date of June 8th on them.
If you are nominating animals for the Colorado State Fair we need the nomination forms turned in ASAP.

We know many people do not receive The Record or the Stratton Spotlight. Thanks to the county commissioners for allowing the posting of our Fair related news releases to the county website. The following Pre-Fair releases concerning entry deadlines have been posted:

FAIR is in the air! Fair books, syllabus and entries are ready for pick-up. Horse and livestock entries (including rabbits, poultry & Open Class Primary) are due back in the office by 5:00 Wednesday, July 1st. Sheep Lead entries have the same deadline. $20 late fee per class entry after the deadline.

Fair Book, Livestock & Horse Entry forms, and the 4-H General Projects Syllabus are also available online at: kitcarsoncounty.colorado.gov/fair-grounds/county-fair

You need the small duplicate entry tag for Rabbit, Poultry, and Sheep Lead entries. These are not available online.

Spread the word: there will be NO EARLY COUNTY EVENTS DAY entries accepted. And NO MAIL IN ENTRIES! We have entry forms available, but you can only turn them in at the ticket booth on Monday, July 27th from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Registration is open! 4-H members ages 8–18 are invited to join a fun craft day hosted by Heidi Ridnour. Participants will be able to visit the website, choose the project they would like to create, and pay the project fee. Most projects will cost around $15, though some may be less depending on the project selected.
Two sessions will be available:
• Morning Session: 9:00–11:00 a.m.
• Afternoon Session: 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Register by June 17th.
This will be a great opportunity for youth to get creative, learn new skills, and have fun with fellow 4-H members. If you have any questions please let call McKayla at the Extension Office 719-346-5571

We are excited to offer an FCS Project Makers Lab in Sterling on June 11th! The morning session will focus on modeling practice for Fashion R***e, while the afternoon session will feature hands-on workshops in scrapbooking and sewing crafts.
Participants may attend the full day for $10 or choose either the morning or afternoon session for $5. Please note that lunch will not be provided, so be sure to bring a sack lunch if attending the full day. You can use the registration link on the flyer, or call the extension office to sign up.
