The Burlington Business Association (BBA) has been helping the Burlington Business Community succeed since 1978. We work on behalf of our 280+ member businesses to ensure that Burlington retains its strong and vital economy.

Burlington Needs Us Now More Than Ever

With the recent closing of The Gryphon, we’re reminded again just how fragile our downtown community has become. Every lost business is more than just a darkened storefront — it’s another piece of Burlington slipping away.

Here’s the hard truth: if we give up on Burlington, we’re giving up on our community. Tourists won’t come here if the city feels hollow, and if they don’t come here, they won’t support the surrounding areas either. It all starts right here, downtown.

For too long, it feels like we’ve been watching Burlington burn — like a train wreck people can’t look away from — waiting for it to hit bottom before we start rebuilding. But why wait until it’s too late?

Your support matters more than ever. Every meal, every visit, every dollar spent downtown helps keep our restaurants and shops alive. Without it, more businesses — possibly even ours — could follow the same path as The Gryphon.

Burlington is worth fighting for. Please, come downtown, support local, and help us bring back the city we all love.
