Come join 350Vermont and trainer Leif Taranta from the Climate Disobedience Center for an NVDA training! This is an introductory training on Nonviolent Direct Action with a focus on unplanned direct action needs that might emerge during a rapid response situation (for example, raids by immigration enforcement). We’ll talk about what NVDA is, why it is powerful, how to be prepared for taking this type of action, and different roles people can take (including ones that are low-risk, like jail support). Our interns contribute to 350Vermont’s core work across the state, organizing to build the power of ordinary people to create solutions, show up in solidarity in our communities, and create the political will for policies that will ensure access for all to transportation, energy, food, and clean air and water.
