Firefighter Edward Marbet
Burlington Township Fire Department, Station 301. Burlington, NJ
Firefighter Marbet was alerted to a working fire in his own residence. Despite heavy fire and smoke conditions, and without the protection of turnout gear, Firefighter Marbet rescued his father and fiancée from inside the structure. A neighboring residence notified Emergency Services by a 911 call. After the rescues were made, all indications are that Marbet remained inside the structure in attempt to extinguish the fire. Unfortunately, prior to the arrival of his colleagues, Marbet succumbed to the heat and smoke conditions and his body was found on the second floor of his residence by the Burlington Township Fire Department.

We had some visitors today! These two little ones toured our fire trucks. They looked at the tools and equipment firefighters use on a daily basis, and they went for a ride in the fire truck!

The members of Shop 30 would like to congratulate Firefighter Aaron Mazeall (Left Center) on his recent approval for Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) to Ewing Township! Firefighter Mazeall was hired on with the Burlington Township Fire Department as one of the first six career staff for the township in 2021. Aaron also served as the shop steward for our shop from the shop’s inception within Local 3091 until now upon his transfer. Members of the shop will greatly miss Aaron, especially his sense of humor! We would like to wish Aaron nothing but the best in his future endeavors and he will be missed immensely! Good luck Firefighter Mazeall!!
