May 7th Rooted in Vermont Fundraiser

Everyone is invited to a special dinner event fundraiser on Thursday May 7 from 5-7pm to benefit both Vermont Interfaith Action (VIA) and Chittenden Asylum Seekers Assistance Network (CASAN) to support social and immigrant justice work with first generation immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees in Vermont.

It is sponsored and hosted by Ohavi Zedek Synagogue at 188 Prospect Street, Burlington

Join this interfaith, multicultural gathering to see the art and hear stories from high school students studying cultural preservation, and from adult immigrants to our state.

Support our neighbors and help build bridges with people of all faiths.

The CASAN Board is delighted to invite you to the Celebration of Creatives and Spring Update.

The Board will give an update on what is happening with the CASAN organization and our families during these turbulent times, and how the community can help.

And, we will honor our Creatives and their contributions to our successful 2026 Arts for Asylum Seekers fundraiser! There will be light refreshments and time to meet some of the Creatives and to see examples of their work.

For her Arts for Asylum Seekers project, Betsy Evans will draw on her professional background in early childhood and elementary education to share advice and strategies for parenting and conflict resolution. Some of the strategy sharing will be done via cartoons that illustrate how to respond differently than a traditional disciplinary approach.
