Janice Carter did an amazing job yesterday organizing and hosting the Millbrae Racquet Club’s End ALZ day.
I think the MRC team is very close to their $7500 goal, if they haven’t already surpassed it. OOPS THEY HAVE NOW OVER $10,000!!!!
Congrats to Janice for bumping up our Unit 498 team fundraising too.

Tim Rumoshosky (1948 – 2025)
Tim Rumoshosky passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, May 17, due to complications from an abdominal aorta aneurysm he experienced in 2023.
Many of us remember Tim as the owner and director of the San Mateo Bridge Club, which was located next to the Hilton Garden Inn on Bridgepointe Circle in San Mateo from 1980 to 1987. A Sapphire Life Master with over 3,500 master points, Tim ran a fun and lively club alongside his longtime partner, Sue Groff. Club members cherished listening to Tim and Sue discuss their bidding and play strategies, often amusingly disagreeing and providing entertainment for all.
In 1999, Tim and Sue relocated to Arizona, where he directed games at the Scottsdale and Sun City bridge clubs until 2014. At that point, he shifted his focus to mentoring novice bridge players, a passion that continued until his illness in 2023. During this time, Sue took over much of the mentoring of Tim’s students, carrying on his legacy of teaching and encouragement. Tim was highly respected by all his students for his extensive knowledge of the game and his dry sense of humor, which often caught people off guard and kept everyone laughing.
Beyond bridge, Tim had a great love for dogs. He and Sue adopted two rescues, Kali and Kaci, who held a special place in his heart.
In loving memory of Tim, those who wish to honor his life may consider making a donation to the National Canine Cancer Foundation (https://wearethecure.org). Please specify that your donation is in memory of Tim Rumoshosky, and an acknowledgment will be sent to Sue at the address: 17300 N. 88th Avenue, Apt. 118, Peoria, AZ 85382.
Tim is survived by family members in Arkansas and North Carolina.
