Moms Against Poverty A 501(c)(3) global non-profit organization with a mission to lessen the incidence and effects of poverty for impoverished children around the world.

OUR MISSION AND WORK
Moms Against Poverty (MAP) is a global non-profit organization with the mission to nurture and educate underprivileged children to their fullest potential so that one day they can contribute and lead within their own communities and break the cycle of poverty. Our work is holistically minded, advancing communities one program at a time toward well-being and self-sufficiency. First, we address children’s basic needs, such as food, shelter, and healthcare. Then, using education and vocational programs, we provide them with the tools and environment they need to thrive and become successful members of their community and the world at large. Our programs include education, hunger relief, and basic provisions, health and wellness, and orphan care. OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe in empowering underprivileged children while respecting their individuality and maintaining their dignity and self-esteem. Positive change and healing are not only possible but probable when these children are treated with compassion and provided guidance and support. By empowering individuals and communities, we create a lasting impact and forge a path toward ending the cycle of generational poverty. We operate with the utmost integrity, honesty, and take responsibility for the stewardship of our resources.

A New Milk Bank in Tehran🤍

We're grateful to share the opening of a new human milk bank at Mahdieh Hospital in southeast Tehran.

Special thanks to for helping make this possible.

The milk bank provides safe, pasteurized donor breast milk to premature and medically vulnerable newborns when their mothers' milk is unavailable, giving these fragile babies access to essential nourishment when they need it most.

As Iran's 20th human milk bank, this new facility will help more babies receive safe, life-giving nutrition without delay.

We want to assure our donors and supporters that Moms Against Poverty continues its humanitarian work in Iran under our OFAC-specific license, which remains valid through May 2027. We continue to legally raise and send funds to Iran for our authorized humanitarian programs, as we have done since 2010, while maintaining the compliance and oversight this work requires. And the need is tremendous.

Much of our work is focused on protecting children and young people from hunger, exploitation, child labor, homelessness, and serious and life-threatening illnesses, while also providing a safe and stable home for children without parental care.

These children and families rely on these programs, and we remain committed to being there for them. We are deeply grateful to every donor who makes this work possible. Please know that we remain fully committed to carrying out our humanitarian mission responsibly, legally, and with the utmost care for every dollar entrusted to us.
