🎓 Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎓

What began as a room full of strangers became a network of trusted colleagues, collaborators, and friends committed to making San Mateo County stronger.

On June 5, Leadership Council SMC celebrated the Leadership CORPS and Emerging Leaders Class of 2026 as they completed ten months of learning, challenge, collaboration, reflection, and growth.

Nearly 200 graduates, family members, friends, alumni, elected officials, coaches, and community leaders gathered to celebrate this important milestone and welcome the newest members of our alumni community.

Congratulations to the Leadership CORPS and Emerging Leaders Class of 2026! We can't wait to see the impact you'll continue to make in your organizations, communities, and across San Mateo County.

“Having a concrete framework for preparing for important conversations will be very helpful.”

That was a common takeaway from today’s LEAD Local: Leadership Presence: The Human Advantage in an AI World, led by executive leadership coach .

In a world increasingly shaped by AI, today’s focus was on the human skills that matter most. Participants explored how to prepare for high-stakes conversations, understand their audience, and communicate with clarity and intention. They left with something simple but powerful: a practical framework they can immediately apply to real conversations and presentations ahead.
