Recently someone asked me if I was still rescuing “weird” dogs. I told him I don’t consider my dogs “weird”. Yes, they may be old, missing legs, missing eyes or have unique personalities but to me they are all beautiful and more than that they are deserving of love. I cannot imagine being any human or any dog and feeling like no one loves me. No one should ever feel that way. So when I was asked to take a paralyzed dog with a bad eye who had been rejected many times I said yes. Meet Brownie. She will need extensive vet care with Dr. Garcia and with Dr. Torres from Back In Motion. Do we have that money in the rescue account? No, but what I do have is faith that it will come and faith that people will care. I hope next time you see her she is running down the driveway in her new hot wheels! I have thought a lot lately about giving up but today I have a renewed feeling of “Never say die!” And I know I will fight for these dogs until the end of my days. Thank you for everyone who helps and supports us and a special thanks to my sweet friend Kanel for hosting us today and for the wonderful donation of many towels, blankets, fabric, pillows and a fantastic stroller!! We love it and you!!🐶💕❤️🐶
