Trash cans are available throughout many of our parks and public spaces. Please use them when available. If there isn’t one nearby, take your trash with you.

🥾 STAY ON TRAILS WHEN POSSIBLE
Help protect plants, wildlife, and natural areas by staying on designated trails whenever you can.

📸 TAKE ONLY PICTURES, LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS
Enjoy the scenery and memories without taking plants, rocks, or other pieces of nature home with you.

🌲 Shoutout to the Turner family for once again showing up for their Adopt-a-Spot street! Their consistency is exactly why Burleson feels like such a tight-knit community.

Do You Know Where This Is? 👀🗑️

This morning, one of our local plalking groups spotted this litter while out walking and it raises an important question: Why is trash being left on the ground when a trash can is right there?

Litter doesn’t just disappear. It impacts the appearance of our community, our environment, and the spaces we all enjoy. 🌳

🌲A huge THANK YOU to our 15 amazing Cub Scouts who spent their Saturday morning giving back to the community!

These dedicated scouts spent an hour cleaning up their Adopt-A-Spot on Oak Valley Trail picking up litter, clearing debris, and making sure our trail and waterway stays beautiful for hikers, bikers, and nature lovers to enjoy. It's awesome to see young people stepping up to take care of the outdoors and making a difference in their city. Thank you to the parents and leaders who came out to support them, too. Teamwork makes the trail work! 💪

Stop by and explore hands-on activities for all ages and abilities, brought to you by the City of Burleson, Keep Burleson Beautiful, the Rio Brazos Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists, and our local partners.

🌲A huge thank you to the Turner family for once again rolling up their sleeves to keep our community clean through the Adopt-A-Spot program! Their continued commitment to caring for their adopted street is exactly the kind of neighborly spirit that makes Burleson such a great place to call home.

Programs like Adopt-A-Spot make a real difference. Litter that isn't picked up often washes into storm drains and local waterways, so every bag collected helps protect our creeks and green spaces. Clean streets also encourage more walking, biking, and outdoor activity, protect local wildlife, and help boost property values and community pride.

These small acts, done consistently, add up to a big impact. Thank you to the Turner family for showing up for our community, month after month!

This bumblebee was spotted hard at work among the native blooms in front of Chisenhall Fields Sports Complex last weekend. Every visit from a pollinator helps flowers, trees, and plants thrive- creating healthier parks and a more beautiful Burleson for everyone.

You can help too! Plant native flowers, reduce pesticide use, and leave a little space for nature to flourish. Small actions today create a greener tomorrow.
