Meet Betty, a strong and determined woman who loves her independence. But recently, that independence was put at risk when she suffered a dangerous fall in her driveway, making even the simple act of leaving her home a challenge.

That all changed when The Mended Network stepped in.

With the help of our dedicated volunteers, we built a sturdy, safe ramp from her front door to her driveway, allowing her to move freely and safely once again. In the video, you’ll see the moment she takes her first steps on her new ramp - a moment of restored confidence and newfound freedom.

It’s more than just wood and nails. It’s about dignity, safety, and the ability to live life without fear.

WOW! Just look at these amazing humans.

These are the people who SHOW UP. The ones who roll up their sleeves, put their hearts into their work, and make a real difference.

They didn’t just fix homes - they built hope. They painted walls, replaced siding, hauled debris, and shared laughter with families who have been struggling for far too long. And they did it all with joy.

You showed up.
You worked hard.
You helped restore more than just houses - you restored hope.

We can’t thank you enough for the love and dedication you bring to The Mended Network. Your hands are changing lives.

Amelia stood on her roof, hammer in hand, staring at the broken shingles.
She had no idea where to start.

Her home was falling apart. So was her spirit.

For years, Amelia endured domestic abuse, heartbreak, and loss. When her husband passed away, she was left with nothing but a house in disrepair and a daughter looking to her for strength.

🔹 The roof leaked every time it rained.
🔹 Pests had chewed through the walls.
🔹 The home she had poured her life into was crumbling before her eyes.

But she refused to give up.

She tried to fix it alone - climbing onto the roof, hoping she could patch the damage herself.
But some things aren’t meant to be done alone.

That’s where The Mended Network stepped in.

At first, Amelia thought she was just applying for home repairs. What she didn’t expect was a community that saw her, heard her, and wrapped around her with support.

💙 Her roof has been replaced. Her home is safer. And most importantly - she and her daughter are healing.

But there are more families like Amelia’s - waiting, hoping, praying for help.

We are continuing to serve our friend Mike. Every time we go there we get to hear more of his time in the service. He shared with us the term “shaking in your boots”.

Merry Christmas to all of our friends. We are thankful for those we are able to serve. Those who engage of their time and treasures to help us serve them. I pray this year will bring great joy to all of us. We need each other in this world.
Our friends are valuable. If you are following us you are probably one of them.

Mended Network is proud to announce that we are moving on to phase 2 of Mike's project. We will be totally remodeling his hall bath for him. We have replaced subfloor and sewer lines were repaired. The newwater lines have been installed with supply for new vanity base, toilet, and handicap access shower with hand held wand. Here are pictures of new water lines installed by JH Plumbing our RMP.
We will be having a general house cleaning project coming soon. TBA

The Mended Network is thankful for the partnership with the Home Depot Foundation to serve one of our veteran families in Cleburne Texas.
Rebecca and her husband Gordon both served our country. Gordon was a 101st Airborne paratrooper from 1955-1965.
Their home needed replacement of the back porch and some repairs to their front porch.

Can’t wait till we get all we have planned done for Michael The nice rocking chair was a special gift from the Mansfield store. He received two of them once we got him in that chair he smiled ear to ear and stayed out there for a while.
We will be doing more work there in the coming days. If you have construction skills and want to help you can message us.
