What does it mean to be a Good Samaritan?
Barrett shared with our ODC Child Care children how his JaaJa,
Dr. Leanna Brewer, met a hungry boy named Colin sleeping on a pallet in an alley in Uganda in 2000. Her compassion moved her to action, and that act of kindness became the beginning of SPARK.

Barrett also shared how his friendship with George, a blind student in Uganda, inspired his vision for The Barrett Brewer School for Extraordinary Kids, a school for children with special needs. To help make this dream a reality, Barrett is selling farm-fresh eggs in the SPARK Store to raise funds for the project.

He concluded by encouraging the children to be Good Samaritans in their own communities.
Each child received a gift bag to share with someone in need, putting compassion into action.

🇺🇬 Praying for Uganda 🇺🇬

Father God,

We come before You with grateful hearts, knowing that our steps are ordered by You. Even when plans change and doors seem to pause, we trust that Your timing is perfect and Your purposes remain unchanged.

We surrender our expectations to You. We surrender our outcomes to you. Thank You for reminding us that delays are not denials and that You are working behind the scenes in ways we cannot yet see.

We pray for the people of Uganda, for the communities we long to serve, and for every connection You are preparing in advance. Bless the nation with peace, provision, health, and hope. Strengthen the churches, leaders, families, and children throughout the land.

Lord, guide our next steps and keep our hearts aligned with Your will. May we walk forward with faith, trusting that when the time is right, You will make every path clear.
