Center for ASD Mission: To deliver lifelong support for the well-being of the special needs community. We now have three major programs to turn these dreams into reality.

Our organization was founded in March of 2009 to assist those with Autism and other special needs, as well as their families, both emotionally and financially. Since then, our grass roots organization has helped over 100 families and that number is rapidly growing. We firmly believe to become successful, children with special needs learn and grow more with experience. For this reason we strive to find real world situations and opportunities for them to take part in that will lead to strong foundations for a successful life. The X-CEL PROGRAM, an alternative to homeschool and a educational enrichment program, focuses on school age participants. This program focuses on functional academies, social skills, coping, team work and so much more. THRIVE, our Friday night out program, provides emotional support for families by bringing them together in a safe environment where their participants interact and can be accepted. A Parent Support Group is a vital part of what we do because it allows parents to share, life, cry and refuel until next time. REACH is the program that fills the gap for those adults who have aged out school. The Center not only provides a much needed respite for the families but a chance for these adults to test and expand their boundaries, to be a part of the world around them

🎉 It’s Mrs. Taylor’s birthday! 🥳💛

As Xcel’s High School Lead and the coordinator for THRIVE and Camp, Taylor helps bring programs and experiences to life for our participants throughout the year! From everyday learning in Xcel to the connections and activities happening through THRIVE and Camp, she plays an important part in making these experiences possible, and we appreciate all she brings to CASD!

Outside of CASD, life includes her husband, their three kids, and pets! 🐾 Add in football, a good book, good coffee, and her Swiftie spirit-there’s no shortage of things she loves! 🎶☕️

We hope Mrs. Taylor gets to celebrate with her favorite people, enjoy some of her favorite things, and have a birthday as wonderful as she deserves!

Something delicious was cooking in the kitchen with REACH! 🍎
🥧 Our participants rolled up their sleeves and made apple turnovers from scratch, from rolling and filling the pastry to the best part: the taste test at the end.

Cooking is such a great way to build life skills, practice following steps, work as a team, and have fun along the way. Every participant jumped in, and the results were golden, flaky, and gone in minutes! 😋

🎉 Join us in celebrating and wishing Mika a very Happy Birthday! 🎂💛

Ms. Mika joined our team this summer as a Reach Lead. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in Special Education and is passionate about supporting participants and helping them grow.

Mika loves drawing, listening to music, and playing video games. 🎨🎮 Her creative interests offer fun ways to encourage participants’ self-expression, engagement, social interaction, and personal growth.

We’re so happy to have Mika as part of our CASD family and look forward to the creativity and care she continues to bring to our participants!
