Anton and Betty Lou Kost, Renee Sutton’s parents, were long-time supporters of rodeo and the Burke Stampede.

In Renee’s words, “In the spirit of the great American West, Great Dreamers, Achievers, Believers, Heroes, and Legacy Leavers, it is my privilege, along with my brother John and sister Melissa and families, to place our parents, Anton and Betty Lou Kost, on the Wide Open Spaces Wall of Fame."

Their legacy lives on, and we're so thankful for this generous gift.

This years Burke Stampede Rodeo was a great one! We are all grateful for all the support from volunteers and fans!

Well pardners, that's a wrap.

The dust has settled, the trailers are headed home, and the arena's gone quiet. But our hearts are fuller than ever.

We’re thankful for all of you. The fans filling the bleachers. Neighbors helping neighbors. Volunteers who gave countless hours. Sponsors who believed in us. Contestants who traveled miles and miles. Families who made new memories. Kids who left dreaming of becoming the next great cowboy or cowgirl.

The Burke Stampede has never been just about one weekend in July. It's about preserving a way of life built on hard work, grit, and community. Every handshake, every laugh, every cheer reminds us why we do this.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this year's rodeo unforgettable. Whether you worked behind the scenes, competed in the arena, supported a vendor, or showed up and cheered, you are part of our story.

We've got big plans for the future, and we can't wait to bring you along for the ride. Thanks for believing in the Burke Stampede and helping keep this tradition alive.

We are the Burke Stampede.

For 36 years, we've put on great rodeo, and we do it all for you, our fans. It's what drives us. It's what fills our cups to the brim and beyond.

As we look ahead, we're dreaming pretty big! Over the past year or so, we collaborated with Gregory County 4-H to develop a plan for the future of our beloved piece of land here in Burke. A new arena, grandstand, more space for youth activities, a music festival, and the list goes on.

We're proud to support Wide Open Spaces Foundation, formed to help us make it come to life.

Now, let's build this, pardners!
