Nativity Players Theatre Ministry Church of the Nativity, in Burke, VA, is blessed with many people of theatrical talent. First formed in 2016, guided Fr.

When our building expansion was completed with a stage at the end of 2015, we knew we had to put that stage to good use! Bob Cilinski and directed by Kimberly Siepmann, the Nativity Players Theater Ministry produces an annual musical each July. A crew of adult leaders begins the production process during the school year; auditions are in May for a July performance run. Please add your gifts and talents to our growing ministry. You don’t have to be an actor to take part!

Today our production team started building our set. Our amazing cast is hard at work learning music, choreography and scenes that will bring the world of Dolly to life!

There is still a long road between sketch and opening night, but every great production begins with great ideas.

Somewhere out there is a young comic actor with big energy, good timing, and enough charm to hop a train to New York with Cornelius Hackl. We’re still looking for our Barnaby Tucker for our Hello, Dolly!

Barnaby looks about 17, is funny, lovable, featured through the show, sings in some of the most memorable numbers, dances, and gets swept up in the most amazing adventure!

So go on… “put on your Sunday clothes” and come join us! We have an incredible cast, and a theatre family that loves making magic together. Rehearsals: some weekday evenings and Saturdays starting 6/1. Performances 7/23-25, 30, 31 & August 1.

Auditions are coming up for Hello, Dolly! May 14 & 15 with callbacks on May 23. Performance dates are July 23-25, 30, 31 & August 4. Director: Barbara E. Schwartz https://nativitytheatreministry.org/

This show offers fantastic opportunities for ages 14 and up, including male performers in the following roles: Horace Vandergelder – a commanding leading role with humor, heart, and a powerful transformation (age range 45-60);
Cornelius Hackl (age range 25-40) – a charming underdog who discovers confidence, courage, and romance; Barnaby Tucker (age range 16-25) – a lovable, high-energy comic role full of fun and scene-stealing moments. In addition, we are building a dynamic chorus —a chance to sing, dance, and bring the world of Hello, Dolly! to life as part of a joyful, collaborative ensemble.
Our process is welcoming, well-organized, and designed to help every performer succeed. We would love to see you there!

Dear friends, if cabin fever is starting to set in and you’re craving a fun night out , I invite you to our first annual Candlelight Cabaret at Nativity Catholic Church. Produced by Nativity Players Theatre Ministry under my direction, the Cabaret brings together professional dancers and outstanding vocalists for a relaxed, intimate evening. You’ll enjoy selections from Guys and Dolls, Kiss Me, Kate, Singin’ in the Rain, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, Phantom of the Opera, and more. You’ll also laugh along with our teen cast in the one-act comedy All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play—a loving (and very funny) peek at life backstage.
