American Disposal has said trash will get picked up today. There was a 1-day delay but they failed to notify us.

CORRECTION: Saturday, Jan 2, will be a recycling-only pickup. They will likely come thru very early as they did last Saturday.

Twice-weekly trash pickup will resume on Tuesday, Jan 5.

If you miss the pickup, do not leave items out until Tuesday If you missed last week's recycling, please bring in your items until this Friday night/Saturday morning.

The high winds we’ve been experiencing are expected to continue thru tomorrow. Please be sure to secure all trash and recycling you put out for Friday’s pickup. Open containers are likely to have the contents blown out.

American Disposal has told us they will be coming thru today to pickup Tuesday's trash (they were closed Tues-Wed).

They will *not* be piking up Christmas trees today; they're considering 1/8 skipped and will pick up trees on 1/15. Residents may leave trees out that have been placed for pickup, please just move any that are blocking sidewalks until 1/15.

Finally, if you have a special pickup scheduled for large items tomorrow, 1/10, those arrangements are still good (no impact to that schedule).

As we approach Thanksgiving and other holidays, please try as much as possible to use visitor parking spots to accommodate visitors.

Lots in the news about Fairfax County no longer accepting glass. However, be aware our trash collector, American Disposal, is still accepting glass in their recycling collection if you wish to do so.

If not, this article gives alternate ways to recycle your glass.

To improve the quality of single-stream recycling, Fairfax County will no longer require glass bottles and jars to be placed in curbside recycling bins effective Oct. 1, 2019.

We are aware of the trash pickup issue on Round Top Lane. We are working to get American Disposal to correct the situation.
