Looking for something fun to do this Sunday? Come out and watch some great tennis!

The Burke Centre Tennis Tournament, hosted by Tennis DNA, wraps up this Sunday, May 31st at 10100 Wards Grove Cir, Burke, VA 22015. The finals promise exciting matches and a wonderful chance to enjoy the day with your neighbors. There is room for one more doubles team! Burke Centre Conservancy (BCC) Community Yard Sale - Saturday, June 13th, 8 AM-Noon (core hours), at participating locations throughout the Burke Centre community. BCC is now seeking yard sale vendors. To participate, please send an email to [email protected] by 5 PM on June 11th to be included in the yard sale listing. Participants should include the address of the yard sale and types of items that will be available for sale. Please note if your hours will vary from the core hours, and/or if you are hosting a multi-family sale. Please like/comment/share to help us generate interest for all participants. All Burke Centre pools opened for the season on May 23rd! Please join us! When you join the Burke Centre Pools Membership program, you will gain access to 5 beautiful neighborhood pools, all located within walking distance for many community residents.

Our pools offer operating hours every day from now through Labor Day - Monday, with hours ranging from 9 AM-9 PM throughout the summer! Other features include additional lap-only swimming; and no breaks during the closing hour at each pool. Please note that dates, hours, and other pool information are subject to change based on safety, health & wellness, weather, official mandates, etc. that can occur during any pool season.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The OAKS POOL will close early this pool season -at the end of July- so that amazing transformation work can begin and be ready for its grand reopening in May 2027!

The Burke Centre Conservancy is partnering with the Fairfax County Department of Emergency Management and Security (DEMS) to host a Community Preparedness Workshop for Burke Centre residents.

The workshop will focus on practical steps residents can take to prepare their households and neighborhoods for severe weather and other emergencies. Topics will include building emergency kits, family communication plans, signing up for county alerts, and understanding the hazards most likely to affect our area. The goal is to help residents feel more confident and connected when emergencies occur.

Location: Landings Community Center, 6001 Cove Landing Rd.
Light refreshments provided!

🌸 Community-Wide Yard Sale - May 16, 2026 🌸

Saturday, May 16, 2026 -- 8 AM-12 Noon (hours may vary at individual sites) -- use the link below to view participating locations throughout the community!

Burke Centre Conservancy's annual Community-Wide Yard Sale offers a way for residents across the neighborhood to sell their treasures right from their own yards and driveways! The Conservancy is pleased to share a list of participating homes during an active yard sale period.

When a community-wide yard sale is planned in Burke Centre, the core hours are established as 8:00 am-12:00 pm (with the potential for varying operating hours at each yard sale location) | Where: see below for participating homes throughout the Burke Centre Community.

Please note: This event takes place at individual homes throughout the Burke Centre community. Yard sales are not held at the Conservancy office. While you're out and about, please add the popular Burke Farmers Market to your route for a wide variety of shopping for fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers & plants, meats, baked goods, and much more. The market hours are from 8 am-12 pm and is located at the Burke VRE Station parking lot, 10399 Premier Ct, Burke (off Roberts Parkway).

Come on out for a relaxing and fun evening under the stars this Friday, May 15th, from 5-9 PM, at the Conservancy Office, behind the main building (6060 Burke Centre Pkwy, Burke, VA). Featuring delicious beverages from Cave Ridge Vineyard & Bunnyman Brewing (must be 21 to purchase and consume alcohol). Plus, Pakos Tacos & Two Smooth Dudes food trucks, and jamming Reggae & positive music from High Energy Group will be back to help make this event appealing for everyone. Please remember that our pets are not permitted inside the roped area at any time during the event. Parking will be available on the Conservancy Grounds. Registration is to help prevent duplicate work in the same areas.There are plenty of community open space areas that could use some help so please sign up to pinpoint the most needed areas that work for you and/or your group. Groups may also choose to work within their own cluster as well!

Free trash bags, gloves, sunscreen, hand sanitizer and other giveaways will be distributed (while supplies last) when you come to sign in for your clean up. Provided by our gracious Earth Day Celebration Partner - Patriot Disposal Services!
