ALS TDI is excited to have partnered with Roon (roon.com) to create a free platform for people navigating ALS. Roon consists of short-form Q&A videos from various ALS experts (including ALS TDI's own Nadia Sethi, Alan Premasiri, and Carol Hamilton!) The app aims to help to answer the many questions that come up throughout the ALS journey. To learn more about Roon, you can register to attend our next "Meet Your ALS Orgs" on September 26th. Meet Shelby! Shelby, seen here on the left, joined ALS TDI in 2021 as a Science Intern II after the diagnosis of a family member with ALS. As an intern, Shelby splits her time between the Zebrafish facility and performing nucleic acid purification in the lab. Shelby also assists in prepping kits and other materials for the ARC study. She is also the resident expert on all things cool and keeps the rest of us in the know about trends and what concerts are coming to town.
