Do you remember the Christmas paintings?

The ones that made Christmas in Burkburnett feel a little more magical?

For generations, Nita Lax's Christmas Disney paintings have been part of our community's Christmas memories.

And now, we have an opportunity to bring them back.

🎄✨ We're working to restore these beloved paintings, add the lighting and equipment needed to display them, and bring them back to a local Burkburnett location.

Our goal? To have them ready for our Grand Lighting on December 1.

This isn't just about Christmas decorations.

It's about preserving a piece of Burkburnett history and creating something our children—and their children—can enjoy.

We're going to need our community's help.

❤️ If you'd like to be part of bringing Nita's Christmas legacy back to life, text message or call Blair @ 940-867-8620

✨ Help Us Save a Burkburnett Christmas Tradition ✨

For those who have been asking what the Burkburnett Community Enhancement Alliance is all about, I wanted to share one of the very first projects we're taking on—and one that is incredibly close to my heart.

If you grew up in Burkburnett, chances are you remember driving by Nita Lax's house at Christmas time to see her incredible hand-painted Disney inspired murals glowing with lights. For so many families, it wasn't Christmas until you made that drive. It became a tradition that generations of children looked forward to year after year.

Today, Nita is no longer able to put the murals out herself. Rather than let this special piece of our community disappear, we want to preserve it for future generations.

Our goal is to restore, repair, repaint, and preserve these beautiful works of art, replace lighting where needed, and display them each Christmas so that children and families can continue making memories around them for years to come.

This isn't just about paintings.

It's about preserving childhood memories, hometown traditions, and the magic that makes Burkburnett feel like home.

If you've ever smiled as you drove by these displays, taken your kids to see them, or simply believe that special community traditions deserve to live on, we would love your support.

Every donation—big or small—will go directly toward:
🎨 Restoring damaged murals
💡 Repairing and replacing lights
🖌️ Repainting and preserving the artwork
🎄 Displaying them each Christmas for our community to enjoy

Together, we can ensure that future generations of Burkburnett children experience the same wonder that so many of us did.
Help us keep the magic alive. ❤️
