Be part of our new community letter writing project & send a letter to the world! Pick up a stamped addressed envelope with a note card and instructions from our mailbox at the Highline Heritage Museum (819 SW 152nd Street, Burien) or Burien Community Cetner (14700 6th Avenue SW, Burien) & write us. Letters will be posted in a display at the Highline Heritage Museum January-March 2026 & may be used on social media & a website as well with your permission

A letter writing workshop is coming up as well hosted by North Bend writer and teacher Anna Sullivan, creator of this event.

FREE Artist Development: Basics of Matting & Framing Workshop with Leslie Moon

🗓️ Date: Saturday, October 4,, 2025 from 9:30am-11:30am
📍 Location: Moshier Community Center 430 South 156th Street, Burien

Join us for a beginner-friendly workshop taught where you'll learn the basics of matting & framing to make your art shine!

You’ll learn how to measure & cut a mat that enhances and protects your art.

Each participant should bring a piece of art no larger than 6x8 inches to mat during the session. We'll discuss choosing mat colors, safe cutting techniques, & tips for affordable framing options. Leave with your art beautifully matted & ready to frame!

The two central love stories unfold in different ways. Hero and Claudio’s relationship is nearly destroyed by the malicious lie that Hero has been unfaithful. Witty Beatrice and Benedick are fiercely independent, but their friends trick them into falling for each other.
