Building on the success of previous festivals, 2026 will feature a new collection of art including projection mapping on buildings, light-art installations, roving performers, spectacles, and hands-on experiences for people of all ages.

The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) will be treating the grass areas at Moshier Memorial Park and Mathison Park on Thursday June 18 beginning at 8am for Japanese beetles. This work is in support of WSDA’s extensive eradication project to protect our community's gardens, lawns, parks, and farms from this invasive pest.

WSDA’s contractor will place signage at the time of treatment to alert park users to the insecticide application. Although there are no expected health impacts to people or pets, it is recommended to avoid the treated grass areas until the product has dried. Dry time varies from 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on weather conditions.

For more information or to see if your property qualifies for this free program visit, agr.wa.gov/beetles
