Congratulations to our incredible Rotary scholarship recipients! These young people have amazing achievements already and they are just graduating high school. We can't wait to see what they do in the future!
Dave Hawthorne, our Scholarship Chair, presented the awards and orchestrated the interview process.

Brian Nguyen - Evergreen High School - Walter O Carsten Memorial Scholarship; $1500
Mariah Arneson - Highline High School - Dick Dahlgard Memorial Scholarship; $750
Pedro Torres Sanchez - Puget Sound Skills Center - Dr Frank Tanaka Memorial Scholarship $800

We had the honor of hearing from DeAunte Damper last week…..what a human! Not only is he the King County Community Engagement Specialist doing wonderful things to counteract gun violence, he has also just been named the 2026 Grand Marshal for Seattle Pride! We could go on and on with his accomplishments and efforts; we truly loved having him and celebrating his contributions to our community.

Gwen and Penny made the trip to beautiful Walla Walla last weekend to attend the Rotary District 5030 Conference. What an amazing experience! We learned so much about how Rotary wants to expand (think bigger & better & change!) and got to soak in all the warm and fuzzies from this group of philanthropic people. 10/10 recommend!
