🏡 Building Community, One Home at a Time! 🌱

At our recent Rotary meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming a speaker from EcoThrive Housing, an organization working to create innovative, sustainable, and affordable housing solutions.

We enjoyed learning about their approach to housing and how creative thinking and community partnerships can help address one of our region’s biggest challenges: making safe, stable housing more accessible.

At Rotary, we believe strong communities start with people who care enough to make a difference. It’s always inspiring to meet organizations putting that belief into action!

Thank you to EcoThrive Housing for sharing your work with us and reminding us what can happen when innovation meets community spirit.

🌟 Big News! We’re Growing the Next Generation of Community Leaders! 🌟

We are so excited to announce that the Rotary Club of Burien–White Center is starting an Interact Club! 🎉

Interact is Rotary’s youth leadership program for students ages 12–18, giving young people the opportunity to make a difference in their communities through service projects, leadership development, and meaningful connections.

At Rotary, we believe that service doesn’t have an age requirement, and some of the best ideas come from the next generation!

We’re thrilled to help local students turn their passion for helping others into real, lasting impact. We can’t wait to see the creativity, energy, and fresh perspectives these young leaders bring to our community.

Recently we had visitors who spoke to us about their experience starting an Interact Club and they connected with two students who are getting ours kicked off (all pictured here)!

Here’s to inspiring a new generation of people who believe in Service Above Self! 💙💛

Throwback Thursday/Catch up!! Our club is looking into expanding to support an Interact Club (for students high school age). We sponsored two of these wonderful people in the picture to go to RYLA this past summer, and the leadership camp gave them a fantastic experience.
Two current Interact members came to talk to us at the same time - all of that energy was contagious! As Dave proclaimed at the meeting, we can see the “future of Rotary” ❤️ Stay tuned for more updates on this!
