🌱 Farmer highlight of the week: Sarge’s Farm

“Ever since I can remember, I’ve been farming.“ — Keith Sargent

For Keith, farming has always been a way of life. As a child, his father gave each of his kids a plot of land to grow on. “Whatever we made on the land, we got to keep“ he says.

Today, Keith farms in Currie, NC, where he grows produce and raises chickens and ducks for eggs and meat. He prides himself in his 16 ft towering greenhouses, built using recycled materials. He sells to members of his church and to butchers.

Farmers like Keith are the heart of our local food community, and we’re grateful for the care, dedication, and passion they bring to feeding our neighbors. 🌱
