What began with a shared commitment to protecting informed consent, individual rights, and the voices of California families has grown into an organization working to bring real experiences directly into the public-policy process.

Together, they educate communities, engage policymakers, and help families understand how to make their voices heard.

The most meaningful conversations aren't always the easiest.

In this story, Jessica reflects on years of engaging with a Capitol staff member whose personal experiences shaped a very different perspective. They didn't agree on everything, but they kept talking.

Over time, they found common ground on an important principle: that people can support vaccination while also having concerns about government mandates.

Advocacy isn't about treating people as opponents. It's about building relationships, listening with empathy, and creating opportunities for thoughtful dialogue, even when agreement isn't possible.
