Student testimonials from Professor Nicole Keating’s summer course: Media and Social Change. Four of her students, Bianca, Evelyn, Kristen, and Michael—speak on their experience from the course where they researched social issues and created projects that generated change for the better. They spoke on how this course content was beneficial as it allowed them to prepare for the real world situations such as social media’s affect on mental health to properly dealing with casual racism in daily media. They learned how to identify issues, garner awareness, and ultimately create change.

In Professor Nicole Keating’s summer course: Media and Social Change, students researched social issues and created projects that instigated change for the better. From identifying issues such as illegal animal trafficking, racism within F1, to student exhaustion and so much more—they learned how to identify issues, garner awareness, and ultimately create change.

The students had presented their work via presentations or even live demonstrations in the Woodbury Garden, showcasing their work to other students and coming together to address issues they were working on all summer long.

This project at Woodbury inspires change, led by the passion and expertise of Professor Nicole Keating.

Woodbury Family! Our Kumquat tree located in the Garden has been plentiful and abundant—allowing students to pick and eat the fruit as well as donating extras to the food pantry located on campus. Thank you for the gardening club for growing such an amazing tree that benefits everyone on campus!

An evening of celebration, gratitude, and camaraderie at Woodbury University’s Faculty Emeritus Reception 🥂last Wednesday.

We honored the incredible contributions of Doug Cremer, Jeanine Centuori, Nicole Keating, Satinder Dhiman, and Randy Stauffer, educators who have shaped generations of students and left a lasting mark on our community.

With great food, drinks, and even better company, the night was a heartfelt tribute to their legacy and impact. Cheers to a lifetime of dedication and to the stories, mentorship, and inspiration that continue far beyond the classroom.

Students, Parents, Faculty & Staff, we are so proud of everything that you have accomplished this year and presented to the world during MADE at Woodbury. Truly from the bottom of our hearts we are so proud and grateful for every single one of you and we recognize how much of your time and effort goes into making an event such as this one. Without you, there would be no MADE, there would be no smiles, tears, joyous jumps, and feeling of accomplishment—so thank you for working so hard day in and day out.

In Professor Agassi’s Entertainment Design for Graphic Design & Experience Design class, she teaches her students how to not only create, but curate designs specifically for the entertainment industry. In more depth, creating art that that tells a story is not so simple. She explains that only though creating multiple projects through physical items and posters backed with education rooted in storytelling and the history of this industry, is what makes their projects stand out.

For the final presentations, Professor Agassi brought out her previous professor who is also a Woodbury Alumni, Professor Donnie, to see and critique the presentations and work by the students. Professor Donnie was able to provide feedback that helped students how to present their work professionally, tackling key points that industry leaders are looking to see in their work.

In the end, The course allowed students to not only have real-world experience but conceptually allowed them to explore so many areas of entertainment industry design, ultimately rooting them in a new way to think/approach every area of design with curiosity.
