🚶Safer pedestrian crossings
🪑 More seating & shade
🚌 Easier connections to local transit options

Be sure to stop by!
Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st
Hours: 11am-6pm (free admission)
Location: San Fernando Blvd and surrounding streets in Downtown Burbank (Transportation booth [ # 25] will be located at intersection of San Fernando Blvd. and Palm Ave.)

Have you seen us around Olive Ave? Let us know!

Burbank has a once in a generation opportunity to improve both living and getting around. While others may fight against progress and deny new housing, we believe in a more sustainable and equitable future.

The NoHo to Pasadena BRT will connect residents to this downtown Burbank Metrolink station via a dedicated bus lane! As long as we remind the City we need it.

Send City Council a letter of support before May 20 at strongtownsburbank.com/cta

This is (probably) it. Let’s save the BRT! 🚌

The time has come for Burbank City Council to receive a presentation and discuss the NoHo to Pasadena BRT and SB79. From the posted agenda, it is clear the City is attempting to get the project canceled or further delayed until after the Olympics.

If you can make it, please join us in-person to give public comment. We recommend arriving at 2pm to ensure you’re heard:

🗓️ BURBANK SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
May 20 at 3:00pm
Burbank City Hall
275 E. Olive Avenue, Second Floor

You can also dial-in to give public comment.

If neither of those work, please find instructions on how to send in an email at strongtownsburbank.com/cta

Have thoughts on Downtown Burbank? The San Fernando Sidewalk Enhancement team is hosting two Walking Tours next week!

Come share your thoughts on the downtown district and help us build on the success of Phase 1—especially as the NoHo to Pasadena BRT nears completion. Strong Towns Burbank wrote a letter to help secure the funding for this next phase, and we’re thrilled to see it move forward!

Our thoughts include topics like:
🚶🏻How do we fully pedestrianize San Fernando?
🚲How do we get more bike parking?
🪑Can we have more seating?
🍴How can we add more outdoor dining opportunities?
🗓️How can we activate the corridor with more markets and events?

Burbank has a historic opportunity to deliver on its housing goals by building housing as a part of the new central library rebuild project. Instead of building any of the potential 88 units, the library planning team has instead chosen to build a 4 story parking structure.

For one of the most well connected and parking-dense parts of the city, this is a huge mistake. Housing fosters community and economic growth, and we will never reach our goals if we only continue to build in between the freeway and the sewage plant.

Weigh in with your thoughts starting with the template at the link in our bio ASAP.

Input Needed for Street Safety 🚨

The Downtown Burbank Sidewalk Enhancement Project / San Fernando Reconfiguration is headed for Phase 2! Those yellow painted curb extensions are poised to become permanent if the City hears about how much safer the street feels. Survey at the link in bio!
