You may have seen the headlines: a judge denied Metro’s request for an immediate injunction against the City of Burbank. While that sounds like a setback on the surface, reading the judge’s actual ruling tells a completely different story.

The judge explicitly concluded that Metro has a “strong likelihood of success” on its primary legal claims. In short: Burbank’s legal arguments are failing, and their attempt to block dedicated bus lanes on Olive Avenue is an unauthorized abuse of local permitting power.

Burbank is spending public resources fighting a legal battle the judge says they are on track to lose. It’s time for the City to stop wasting time and taxpayer money, settle the suit, and issue the permits.

Heading to the fifa fan zone in downtown City of Burbank ? Take the free shuttle bus to skip the parking hassle!

The City is running the Burbank Bus along the pink route, extending to stop at 1st and Palm Ave. With 15 min frequencies, it’s a taste of what having weekend service might be like! Enjoy a car-free San Fernando, and stay hydrated! 😎

Burbank is working on the Neighborhood Specific Plan for the Rancho. If you travel through, visit, or live in or around the neighborhood: Burbank needs to hear your voice as a stakeholder during the July 18 and 23 pop-ups.

This neighborhood is our connection to the LA River and all the cities along it. By not providing a bike or pedestrian friendly route, the Rancho is barring Burbank from connecting to the wider region and its opportunities.

We need this plan to:
🚶🏻Construct missing sidewalk segments to create a complete pedestrian network
🚴 Improve bike lanes throughout the Rancho and to the LA River Bike Path

While in-person engagement at the July 18 and 23 events is the best, you can submit written comment through the link in our bio.

We need your help to stop Burbank from wasting your tax dollars! Burbank City Council is illegally blocking the NoHo to Pasadena BRT project by withholding permits, and Metro is suing.

Metro has been working cooperatively with the City for years on this project: adjusting routes, preserving street parking, and adapting to Burbank-led designs in downtown. Now, when it comes time to build, the City is refusing to cooperate.

It’s almost the best days of the year on San Fernando: the Burbank Summer Arts Festival! is working on the Downtown Burbank Sidewalk Enhancement Project.

This is a great opportunity to give feedback on downtown Burbank, including things like:
🚶Safer pedestrian crossings
🪑 More seating & shade
🚌 Easier connections to local transit options

Burbank has a once in a generation opportunity to improve both living and getting around. While others may fight against progress and deny new housing, we believe in a more sustainable and equitable future.

The NoHo to Pasadena BRT will connect residents to this downtown Burbank Metrolink station via a dedicated bus lane! As long as we remind the City we need it.

The time has come for Burbank City Council to receive a presentation and discuss the NoHo to Pasadena BRT and SB79. From the posted agenda, it is clear the City is attempting to get the project canceled or further delayed until after the Olympics.
