CHRISTMAS KID COOKIE DECORATING EVENT

Friday’s update on our event 🎄❤️⛄️❤️
When: Saturday, December 20th
Time: Starts 2pm to 5pm
Where: Burbank Grange located 44 Fourth Ave
SUGGESTED donation is $5 per child or $10 per family
Bring: If you have a cookie sheet, please bring one for each child.

We plan to lay out all their supplies on a piece of parchment paper on the cookie sheet. You’ll notice the cookie sheet in our picture is well used (not shiny- so don’t buy one to bring). They can also use that cookie sheet to take home their decorated cookies.

We have been busy baking today. My dough is chilling, so I’m sharing my recipe instead of the pictured cookies.

If you haven’t already commented on our earlier post that you are coming, please do so now. We would like to have some idea, so we don’t run out of cookies.

Again, we don’t monitor the donation amounts, so please don’t let that keep you from coming. They’ll be some great sugar cookies, vanilla cookies, gingerbread cookies, LOTS of frosting and LOTS of sprinkles. We’re all very excited to host this new adventure. I’m sure there will be lots of smiles. 😀🎄⛄️❤️ SEE YOU THERE.

BIG THANK YOU TO BETTE BROOKS

Here is a Grange Member and Breakfast Coordinator that schedules her busy life around the Sunday Breakfasts in November and March. Thank you Bette. She’s the woman behind the scene that pulls it all together. She knows it would be really hard to cover her spot. ❤️❤️

TWO of my favorite things about the Grange Sunday Breakfast

I’m not a long time Burbanker, but mom and my brother were. They looked forward to going and when I was in town I would tag along. They would sit and visit with those that arrived while we were there. That’s it… hearing people comment things like, “Wow, I haven’t seen Bob in forever.” ❤️ You just never know who will show up while you’re there. And there’s also families that arrange to meet there. It’s like sitting around their own table for a good visit, except someone else is cooking. 😀

Second, is the kid fun. Hearing them play the piano or run dashes in the Ballroom side. The sound of their laughter.

I am looking forward to a CRAZY FUN Burbank Grange Breakfast

First,we are serving BISCUITS AND GRAVY this week with the other option being All You Can Eat Pancakes… Pumpkin Spice as an option. Just a reminder that we SOLD OUT of Biscuits and Gravy last time. I am pretty sure no one goes home hungry from our breakfast. 😀

Also, please plan to purchase any more raffle tickets by 11am on Sunday. We will start sorting at 11am and start drawing the winners. ❤️ I also have another small surprise for the kids. (I’m not giving any hints)

Come start your day with us for breakfast. Remember all proceeds go toward the High School Scholarships. Thank you

Here is a picture of their Honey Whole Wheat Bread and Cinnamon Swirl Bread. I missed getting a picture of her Cinnamon Rolls, but I texted her… if she forwards tomorrow I will send on. It will be tough for me to decide between the Cinnamon Swirl or the Cinnamon Rolls. 🤔

BUSY day in the Grange Kitchen Today! Smelled heavenly. 😀

Be sure to get to the Burbank Holiday Market tomorrow. There will be some GREAT treats. First we had Melly in baking all kinds of goodies… Christmas Sugar Cookies, Snowball Cookies, Cranberry, Apple, Banana Bread, and also brownies with peppermint and toffee bits. Market starts at noon tomorrow. I wouldn’t dilly dally, or she could be sold out.

I had some of those sugar ghost cookies last farmer’s market… so good. But then again anything with peppermint bits is my favorite!

Oh my gosh, I just realized I hadn’t posted this weeks menu.

So if you happened to have ordered Blueberry Pancakes at our first breakfast, you know how delicious they were. I know that I did. I might just order the French Toast this week. We start serving at 8am. Hope to see you there. We thought up another little surprise for everyone this week. Come see us. All proceeds go toward the Burbank Highschool Scholarships.

Burbank Grange Breakfast FREE BREAKFAST WINNER IS KAREN WALSH!

I didn’t get a chance to reach out to her today, but I will tomorrow. We had wanted to boost getting input on Community Service Events for next year. Thank you, we received 40 slips with ideas. We want to use your input to plan classes/ events for next year.

We also had a page to share Burbank Library information this week. I just picked out some info I was surprised at and some great events in December. For those not sure of the answers… the answers are below. I was shocked that someone could check out a guitar through the library. Take a look!
