The text that made my heart stop. How could such a precious beautiful baby lose her life just because some irresponsible human didn’t protect her. Clover was filthy, scared, and dying when she got dropped off, and we wouldn’t… couldn’t let that be her last memory.
We had an hour to pick her up, everyone came together to support however they could - looking at you South LA Shelter Dogs and Friends A Purposeful Rescue LilahBaby - and sweet Clover was on her way to Slaton Veterinary Hospital.
Over the last 36 hours she has received monoclonal antibodies, antibiotics, anti-nausea and supportive meds, one plasma transfusion, and multiple blood draws to keep tabs on everything. She’s receiving fluids, and definitely improving. But the next 24 hours will be crucial. We are still looking for a foster for this baby, so please reach out if you’d like to learn more. In the meantime, she does have one more night at the vet, and we are all holding our breath that the name Clover 🍀 will prove to be lucky for this baby! ❤️🐾
