Flagler County 4-H 4-H is the youth development program of the University of Florida, IFAS Extension. All Flagler County 4-H comments are made by Flagler County 4-H designees."

Do you enjoy drawing, painting, or designing? Are you inspired by Florida agriculture, local foods, and the connection between farms and schools? Bring your ideas to life in the inaugural Florida Farm to School Art Contest, hosted by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).

Open to Florida students in grades 6-8, the contest encourages participants to express what Farm to School means to them through original artwork inspired by Florida agriculture, fresh local foods, school gardens, and agricultural education. Submit one original piece of 2D artwork for a chance to see your work featured on official 2027 Florida Farm to School Month materials, displayed at the 2027 Florida Farm to School Conference, and recognized statewide.

The contest opens October 1, 2026, and closes November 16, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET.

What would you grow if you were a Florida farmer? How would your farm support your community and local schools? Put your imagination to work in the 3rd Annual Florida Farm to School Essay Contest, hosted by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).

Open to Florida students in grades 9-12, the contest challenges participants to explore the role Florida agriculture plays in feeding communities and strengthening connections between farms and schools. Submit an original essay for a chance to earn up to $3,000 in college funds, receive recognition at the 2027 Florida Farm to School Conference, and more.

The contest opens October 1, 2026, and closes November 16, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET.

This weekend, members of Deeply Rooted 4-H came out to support one of their own as he participated in his very first show with his steer!

This is his first year raising a steer, and we couldn’t be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and commitment he has put into this project. What an exciting milestone and a wonderful first step into the show ring!

We are also incredibly proud of the Deeply Rooted 4-H members who showed up to cheer him on and support their fellow club member. This is what 4-H is all about, being there for one another, celebrating each other’s accomplishments, learning together, and building friendships and confidence along the way.

Whether you’re in the show ring or standing ringside cheering, we’re all part of the same 4-H family!

Way to go, Deeply Rooted 4-H, for showing what it means to support one another! We are so proud of all of you!

Community Pride is a service-learning program aimed at supporting 4-H members and clubs across the state in giving back to their communities. Proudly supported by the Florida 4-H Foundation, 4-H members and clubs are invited to submit proposals for their service-learning projects to receive funding.

Proposals are due by December 1 at the following link, Community Pride Proposal (Qualtrics). https://ufl.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_a01ZksnbGEeTD1k

Please Note: Funding is awarded based on available funding, number of proposals submitted, and score received on the proposal. If a project does not receive full funding from the Florida 4-H Foundation, groups are still expected to follow through on the process by working with you to build additional support.

We will have an Ask 4-H About Community Pride on Thursday October 1 at 7:00PM ET/6:00PM CT through Facebook Live, . You should not need a login to access and should be able to X out of the screen that prompts signing in. A recording will be available on the webpage linked below in the weeks following.
