Remember to Donate to the Bunker Hill American Legion Auxiliary on National Poppy Day. We will be collecting donations on May 27th and 28th, uptown and Meehans. On Friday evening we will be collecting donations 3pm - 7 pm, Saturday we will be collecting donations from 8am - 12pm. Please remember those who gave their lives for us and our freedom.

We are starting our 8th year as the Legion Auxiliary in Bunker Hill, Illinois. When we started a unit here with 10 members and now 7 years later we have 48 members including our juniors and ladies.
Becoming a member of the largest organization that supports our veterans, active military and our community is very gratifying.
Things have changed in the past year and now males can join the Auxiliary if they are a spouse of a female veteran, and their daughters can become Juniors or Senior members in our unit when the spouse joins the Legion Post.
Also all veterans are eligible to join an American Legion Post, of their choice. These also or new guidelines. If interested please contact your local Legion Post for more information.
We hear alot of reasons why you can't join our organization because work, family, and don't like meeting. Guess what you don't have to. We have all ages in our unit. Please call me if your interested on becoming a member or any other questions about joining our unit.
I'm posting photo of our junior members that walked in our 4th of July Parade. These young ladies love helping, and visiting our veterans at Jefferson Barracks Hospital when their schedules allow them too.

NEW MEMBERS WANTED !!! We are ready to celebrate our 8th year as being a unit with the American Legion in Bunker Hill. We are looking for new members to join us in an organization thats 101 years old. The American Legion Auxiliary wasn't able to celebrate their 100th Birthday due to Covid-19 but we are continuing the celebration thru this year.
If your interested in finding out more about who we are and what we do please message me or attend one of our meetings. The meeting is held the first Monday of the month, or if its a holiday the following Monday. Meeting starts

Our annual Scholarship packet is being sent to the school. Have your children talk to the guidance counselor to see if they are eligible. (A Family member must have been in the military) Essays and paperwork are due back by March 31st.
