6 years ago today my Godson Ernest J. DuPont went to heaven after battling an extremely rare disease called Degos. He fought hard for 9 years but lost his life at the young age of 26. His legacy to all who knew him was one of faith, family, and a love for all those in his life. He was pretty dang funny as well !!!😁 I miss our work outs together and just spending time with him during our visits. He was such a special young man!!!
There has been such a void in all of our lives since he left us . One that will never be filled !!!
Starting on September 15 of this month I will begin my Ride for Ernie. In 2022 I was able to raise $1080.00 after riding 350 miles,
that went toward researching this horrible vascular disease. Due to undergoing a double hip replacement and a shoulder replacement(5) overall now lol ,I was unable to do my ride last year. I will be hosting the ride again this year starting September 15 through October 15. My ride goal will be 375 miles. I will also be participating in a dead lift competition on October 26 in Springfield Mo. I will be competing in the 60-64 group. 242 lb Class. I’m hoping to set a Il state record for that class. If you would like to donate according the total weight lifted that would be another avenue for giving. It will be between 400-450 lb roughly. Anything you can give would be much appreciated!!!! I will be sending out the information to everyone soon!!!
