Provisions Outreach

10/06/2026

Hi friends!! It's that time of year again!! It's time for y'all to jump on in and help Provisions Outreach meet our annual fundraising goal for our Holiday Hunger Run 5K. We hope to raise about $30,000 in sponsorship funds, which will help to support our food pantry operations for several months throughout 2027. This is Provisions' biggest fundraiser of the year and we rely on our community to help us serve our mission. YOUR sponsorship makes a difference to our client families. Please take a look if you're so inclined. Thank you!! https://provisionsoutreach.org/2025-holiday-hunger-run.../

Do YOU know about the Path to Pro free skilled-trades training program being offered by Home Depot?? This is an amazing FREE opportunity to learn a construction trade--jobs that are BADLY needed now and in the future! Take some time to look this over. It's an excellent starting point if you've been looking for a jumping in point for a career! https://www.pathtopro.com/

We are so appreciative of our friends at Very Bold Ministries who founded and coordinate the annual Peanut Butter Bowl! Not only did we garner more than 700 lbs of peanut butter, we also received a very generous monetary donation that they distributed among all of the recipient food pantries! Thank you!! And thank you Pieper Warriors!!!!

GOOD MORNING friends!!! September is Hunger Action Month (we've said it before, right?) and today is the Big Give. That said, Provisions is NOT participating in the Big Give, BUT.....we are blessed to offer a matching gift campaign courtesy of our friends at First Chance Foundation!! Each year, they offer us a $5000 donation match...so basically, it will double YOUR donation, up to $5000 in total donations!! We love these folks and are so honored to be considered as beneficiaries by this organization. So please, if you are in the giving "mode" because of the Big Give, consider this alternative. We will receive ALL funds donated through the end of September!! THANK YOU!!!!

Founded in 1991, we are a Bulverde-based, nonprofit food pantry whose mission is to assist individuals and families who are struggling to meet the basic needs of day-to-day living, and to improve their quality of life.

:-)

There’s more behind the racks at the Bulverde Thrift Store than just great secondhand finds. The nonprofit is a joint effort between Provisions and the Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center, with proceeds helping support both organizations and the programs they provide locally.

The store got its start in 2013 in a tiny 800-square-foot space downtown and has since grown into its current location with a team of employees and more than 50 volunteers. It also hosts community events like the annual Thriftique Fashion Show and All Dolled Up, which provides local students with affordable prom dresses, shoes, purses, and accessories.

So the next time you’re browsing for something new-to-you, your purchase can help support neighbors right here in Bulverde and Spring Branch.
