Last day!

Everything Animals’ last fundraising yard sale. Proceeds to benefit the Mamakating Environmental Education Center to care for the animals that they will be using for programs and carrying on her legacy and programs with another generation of kids.

We all lost a friend – animals and non-animals alike – when Jan Berlin, founder of Everything Animals Resources & Activities Center, passed away very suddenly last December. To those who knew her, Jan was an advocate for those in need – animals and non-animals (people), alike; quick with a story or support or an idea that might help. She was a loving family member, a best friend to dozens (truly), and one of the best people many of us will ever know. We have waited to announce this here on EA’s page, out of respect for the family as they processed and contemplated a world without Jan in it.

Last December, Jan Berlin, founder of Everything Animals Resource Center in Bullville, passed away unexpectedly. Next weekend, as she did every Father’s Day Weekend for the past twenty years, her family and friends will be holding one last yard sale – this time to fund legacy projects in Jan’s name. We are working with the MEEC (Mamakating Environmental Education Center), Jan’s favorite local organization, on a project to keep Jan’s love of humane education and teaching going forward into the future. Funds raised at the yard sale will go towards the care of the animals in Jan’s menagerie that are now safe and loved by children and grow-ups alike at the MEEC. These much-needed funds will help with food, enclosures, and vet bills, and would also help the MEEC expands its collection of local wildlife in the future. These animals help hundreds learn about our fragile ecosystem – and our role in maintaining that ecosystem – every year.

Jan will be there with a table this weekend so come on out and support Middletown Humane AND get some fun fall stuff at Stonehenge!

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!!! With 50 years of business behind us and many more to come, all of us at Stonehenge want to show just how much we appreciate our customers…without all of you Stonehenge wouldn’t be what it is today!!! So come celebrate 50 years with us this weekend!!! Enjoy local vendors, pumpkin and face painting, farm animals, raffles and the main attraction, Middletown Humane Society!!!

FOUND: Bearded Dragon (BULLVILLE)

Adult bearded dragon found by police in middle of street and brought to my sanctuary in Bullville. Friendly, perhaps escaped outdoor enclosure on a beautiful day.

Took a bunch more - picture frames, craft supplies (including a fun wooden art box with water colors and colored pencils and an easel!), and a ton of fun young adult novels.
