Interested in LAKEWOOD PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION LOCATED in BULLARD TX ON LAKE PALESTINE?
If you enjoy spending your hard earned money on association dues for a falsely advertised private community that has been mismanaged and ran by liars, thieves and crooks for 20 plus years with non existent amenities and potholes so big the school busses get stuck and have to change routes exposing your children to the all elements and the post master threatens to cancel route because of all the potholes look no further. Don't mind having the dues you pay stolen by corrupt Board Members that violate regulatory laws, rig elections, place illegal liens on your property and selectively enforce whatever benefits themselves at the members expense look no further? If you don’t mind being targeted by corrupt Board Members for asking questions or seeking transparency and accountability, look no further. If you are good with the corrupt Board Members not paying their own dues but you do then Lakewood is for you. Don’t mind taking a chance on buying property in the association without using a title company to verify the land wasn’t stolen and previously illegally sold by corrupt board members lining their pockets, ensuring you will receive a clear title? Look no further Lakewoods got em! Don’t mind having to waste the association dues on legal fees (versus roads that are in such despair) due to association being sued over the egregious acts committed by corrupt Board members then welcome home.. You want a place were your children and pets aren’t safe playing outside in their own yard because of crackheads, aggressive stay dogs and criminal activity then look no further. You good with not feeling safe in your own home? If you seek a community repeatedly run by same corrupt, liars thieves and crooks that don’t enforce the laws or rules for community and member safety or don’t mind living where the rules only apply based on what section or side you own property on or who you associate with? Love being harassed by nosey neighborhood N***s that some board members shares your private information with? They are bountiful in Lakewood. If you don’t mind that your valid concerns are dismissed by same corrupt Board members? Look no further! Don’t mind sharing a needle littered lakefront beach area with your family friends and squatters or trespassers? Welcome to Lakewood. If you ever wished you lived on a gun range that was open 24/7 full of felons? Well now you can. If property values are unimportant, Lakewood welcomes you. If you love theatrics and drama you’ve hit the jackpot. We encourage you to attend a monthly board meeting they are quite entertaining. If you make it to the show, by all means stay for the security report as it’s the best part of the meeting. If your not into theatrics and drama or don’t care to listen to a very detailed 45 min community report on how your cats ge****ls were mutilated by a pycho on the loose then maybe head on down to the lakefront were you may get the opportunity to see aliens or shadow people! Prefer consistency over structure? Your in luck because the only consistency the community has seen in decades is listed above.

As a property owner in Lakewood who has personally experienced or been witness to some of the above it is in my opinion there are current board members and current nominees who previously served that have turned a blind eye to possible corruption and would not support transparency so that we may all see what the real problems are in our POA. It may be the fault of board members that have breached our trust in the past and have zero accountability but continue to serve on our boards. It may be the fault of one individual that is at a higher position than the rest and they decide to not get involved. But that begs the question of
"What needs to happen to resolve these issues once and for all?"
Could it be that there are one or more board members making sure the status quo is kept and keeping dissent on the board to a minimum by getting the new member to act in their best interest? And that also encourages discord amongst the members?
