There are many patriotic holidays in addition to Independence Day, Flag Day and Veterans Day.

If you celebrate any of these lesser-known patriotic days at your Auxiliary and/or with your Post, let us know! We would love to share your stories and pictures on our social media and in our E-Newsletter. Let us know! Each Program year, we update existing resources and add new ones. The process of creating, curating and compiling those is coming up for us here at VFW Auxiliary National Headquarters, so if you have a request or suggestion, the best time to make it is now.

Find her new piece in MALTA Member Resources-Ambassador Blogs; in it DiGiacomo reminds Historian & Media Relations volunteers their job isn’t just taking pictures and making social media posts, it is about capturing the spirit and preserving the stories of your Auxiliary and its functions.

Get to know all your National Ambassadors and their feelings on their Programs by going to MALTA and read all their blogs. These short, informative posts can offer a lot of insight into the work being done for VFW Auxiliary.

Friday, May 1st is Walleye Night at the VFW in Bull Shoals. Served from 4-6 $16 deep fried walleye fillet with choice of baked potato or fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. Comes with dessert and coffee or iced tea. Adult beverages and sodas can be purchased from the canteen. For dine in or take out. After dinner join us in the canteen for karaoke from 6-10.

Annual American Legion Yard Sale will be on April 24 & 25 from 8-2. Set up Thursday April 23 after 2 PM. Tables cost $5 per table per day. Breakfast and Lunch will be available for purchase. For more information and to reserve a table or two contact VFW Post 1341 at 870-445-4501.
