It looks like Gideon is finally getting back to being Gideon. Sure, his vision may be a little impaired, and yes, he's currently operating with one less eyeball than before, but none of that appears to have affected his priorities.
As far as Gideon is concerned, "shaken, not stirred" isn't a cocktail order—it's a shared dog and hedgie lifestyle. 🍸🐾❤️😂

Today on Tommy's Tursdays, Tommy spent the morning sitting in a dry pool, glancing at the Mommy Person as if to ask why she had provided the pool but forgotten the most important ingredient. Convinced that this level of neglect could only be corrected with immediate fwimming, he marched to the truck and climbed aboard before anyone officially announced departure. Once settled into his seat, Tommy began supervising the travel arrangements with his usual combination of impatience and entitlement. After all, a dog of his stature shouldn't have to wait for water to come to him—he has people for that. 🏖️🌊👑🐾😂

Wait... where's the little leather handbag?
We've seen plenty of ups and downs over the years, but we know love when we see it. Back in March, a tiny tuft of fur named Hermes arrived at Liz E.'s carrying at least five health issues and leaving his first vet visit with nine medications. Months later, he's still a work in progress, but what a comeback he's made—reminding us of another little fighter, BunnyBunBun, from years ago.
For the rest of his days, Herman (aka Hermes) will be showered with love, care, and more attention than he knows what to do with. Ruben and Lisa, thank you for looking out for this little guy. Because of you, Hermes got his second chance, and we're honored to continue to carry his torch. ❤️🐾

Little Ruby didn't stay long, but she stayed long enough to know she was loved.
She came already carrying more than she should have had to — sick, uncertain, and in need of someone who would see past all of it. Rhonda was that person, without hesitation, giving Ruby every comfort, every kindness, and every moment of warmth she deserved.
Ruby left the way every good dog deserves to leave — held, loved, and full of the knowledge that someone chose her. Run with your Peke-le, Ruby.
Thank you, Rhonda for taking the burden and giving the love.

Warning: graphic pictures. We knew when Gideon came to us that his eyes and his chopped off tail) had taken a beating being left out in the 112 degree heat. We took him to the opthomologist a few years back to be sure we could extend his eye life as long as possible. He has gradually been going blind and one eye finally said it had enough. He's been our little mighty warrior and he still is. He's a happy little man and this won't stop him. However, it seems Pete might be a little concerned...

That’s a wrap on Pete week! We conclude with three main points: 1- Pete’s has a story of resilience and love ❤️ 2- He only has eyes (or eye as the case may be) for the Daddy Person! ❤️ and 3- According to Pete, Mommy Person is hot garbage! 😂 Pete!!!!!

These are the days we love! Watching Pete keep his eye (literally) on Daddy Person and making his best beeline straight to him! Well, maybe not straight but he got where he needed to go! He may not be as fast as he used to be but he’s still determined! Yay for Pete Week!

Pete Week is an annual celebration dedicated entirely to Pete, a tradition Tommy finds both confusing and deeply unfair. After all, Tommy has spent the entire week generously allowing Pete to share the spotlight that rightfully belongs to him. Determined to correct this administrative oversight, he had unofficially rebranded the event as "Pete-and-Tommy Week," despite receiving no votes in favor of the change. As far as Tommy is concerned, the greatest gift Pete received during Pete Week was the opportunity to celebrate it alongside Tommy. That's what we get for Tommy's Tursdays....

It’s not an exciting video but it gets Pete where he needs to be. He’s never been a hearty eater and now with age, neurological issues and and pulmonary hypertension, his eating is hit and miss. So even though he only loves the Daddy Person, the Mommy Person is his biggest cheerleader, making sure he gets everything he needs….every.single.day. ❤️ Pete!
The mouth breather you hear is Idee (no appetite issues for her!) waiting for Pete’s leftovers. 😂😂😂

It's Pete week! As Pete grew into himself and his confidence, he became a Liz E.'s fan favorite. Of all dogs to have a cover shot on our clothing line, Pete did it with his fluffly plume and his classic one-eyed stare. Pete is the official dog of "I love the Peke-Ends" sports wear! https://www.bonfire.com/store/liz-es-pekingese-rescue-and-sanctuary/
