RAVE TO CHOPPER ON DUTY!
He is such a good boy, and we haven't taken a few minutes in awhile to give you all an update on him. Chopper is HUGE. He has gained 68 pounds since we got him 7 months ago, and he looks amazing.
Chopper is healthy and he's happy, and he is the most STUBBORN dog you have ever seen in your life! Chopper loves almost everybody. He is super friendly to anyone that's suppose to be at his house. He HATES cats. We don't know why, but he is a gentle giant until he sees a cat, or any kind of delivery truck. Let me clarify...Chopper loves our delivery drivers, but he wants to literally attack their trucks, every time he sees them drive by.
Chopper guards his perimeter. Wherever he used to live, it is obvious that his old job was to sit outside and watch EVERYTHING. He doesn't miss a thing either. It's funny to watch the way he greets each and every person that shows up to Kelz Kustomz..He looks super intimidating, and kinda scary, but once he sniffs you and you scratch his head, he turns and looks at me, and then begins to push his head into the stranger for more pets...lol.
This may sound kinda sad at first before I explain it, but Chopper doesn't fit in with the other dogs. Chopper doesn't hang out with any of them, and they don't want to really hang out with him either. They don't hate each other though, and nobody fights with him, except Reba when she gets confused while I'm trying to make Chopper come back in the house at night. Chopper is EXTREMELY stubborn, and he LOVES the outside. Sometimes when it's too cold, or too dark, I have to kinda force him to come inside and that involves me pulling him by his collar. In these events, if Reba happens to see me do this, she assumes the Chopper is fighting me, and she gets extremely protective of me and tries to go after Chopper for not obeying me. I'm not really sure what's going on in her mind, but she really hates it when Chopper is stubborn with me...
In the evenings, Chopper has his own routine, and he never changes it. Ever. He goes from room to room, checking on everything in the house, and then he goes to the master bedroom, and lays down literally in the walk way. He stays there until I come in for the night too...We hang out and watch TV, and eventually he falls asleep right at the side of the bed next to me. I accidentally drop all kinds of snacks, beef jerky, half of my dinner, and even sometimes, little pieces of my butterfinger candy bar..lololol.
Anyhow, I just wanted to give all of my Chopper friends and followers a quick update on how he is doing. Some of you may not have been here in the beginning, when all this craziness actually began, but those that were, could tell you all about this beautiful animal that came into my life last year on accident, at a time where him and I both needed someone to save our lives. It was not planned by anyone but the man upstairs, and the plan was absolutely perfect. Chopper and I both are living our best lives now and BOTH of us are looking forward to a wonderful Spring and Summer with ALL OF YOU, and especially with each other.
Please believe me when I say this next part... If there is something s**tty going on in your life right now, or if you are feeling alone, scared, nervous, or overwhelmed, please message me. Call me. Text me. Come meet Chopper. Come take him for a walk. Talk to him about whatever you want. He's pretty damn deaf, but I promise you he will feel what your saying, and he'll help you feel better about it. Chopper has been to Hell, and he is back. He and I both are living proof that you can be on the brink of death, and in less than a month, be living a beautiful life.
