In case you missed it - we have begun announcing Christmas gifts! This year, you can give a child a gift that can benefit the entire family! For instance, in Uganda, your donations can provide rice, cooking oil, salt, flour, and sugar, helping ensure there is food on the table for a child’s family during the holidays! Hygiene items can also go a long way! Materials such as soap, moisturizer, and toothpaste are practical gifts to encourage good health.

In Brazil, you have the opportunity to give the children we serve there new tennis shoes! Many of the shoes they wear are old and are often a hand-me-down from older siblings. Giving a child their very own pair of shoes will be an exciting gift that will protect their feet and provide comfort for walking and playing.

At the Village of Eden Baby and Children’s Home, we provide a home for the most vulnerable children in our community. Many of the children who live with us are orphaned, have parents who are unable to provide for them, or have serious health conditions requiring consistent and quality care. When we welcome them into our home, we commit to providing a loving and safe environment for them to grow and thrive.

The majority of the children who live with us at the Village of Eden have crucial health needs. From unexpected surgeries to chronic illness requiring daily medication to babies in serious condition, medical costs for the children in our care are significant.

EXCITING NEWS! We have a team leaving for Uganda! 🌍 ✈️

Our team will be serving at the Village of Eden by participating in a summer camp for high school students. Please pray for the team as they travel and serve students from our local community and in our child sponsorship program. But most of all, pray that Jesus is magnified every day!

In September 2024, the Village of Eden received a call from authorities that a newborn infant had been found in a pit latrine. The baby, Matthew, was recovered from the latrine and immediately taken for treatment at a local hospital. He had extensive bite wounds from maggots, and his eyes were swollen shut from bacteria. After being discharged, Matthew was brought to live at the Baby Home, having been diagnosed with a chronic illness requiring medication for the rest of his life and scarring on his eye that would require surgery. Now, Matthew is growing healthy and strong. He loves to walk and laugh and play alongside other children. He will have surgery on his eye sometime in the near future, a procedure that will greatly improve his quality of life.
