Harvey Ed Entrekin, age 81, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026. He was preceded in death by his grandson, William Milburn; his parents, Harold and Ophelia Wallace Entrekin; and his brother, Jeff Ryles.
Mr. Entrekin is survived by his wife of sixty years, Melody Livingston Entrekin; sons, Kevin (Heidi) Entrekin, and Stephen Entrekin all of Sugar Hill; grandchildren, McKenzie Entrekin, Tyler Smith, Bryce Entrekin, Kali Entrekin; sister, Burnice (Tony) Hurst of Hoschton, GA; sister-in-law, Wanda Godfrey of Hawkinsville, GA; nieces, Tracy (Gokhan) Yazici of Union Township, NJ, and Wendy (Will) Richardson of Flemington, NJ; nephew, Michael Livingston of Hawkinsville; and several other cousins.
Mr. Entrekin was born on December 2, 1944 in College Park, GA. He was a 1963 graduate of Heard County High School, and attended Auburn University and also Georgia Tech in Atlanta. He was Squadron Commander of Civil Air Patrol in Dalton, GA.
Mr. Entrekin was a retired General Contractor for over forty-three years. He was a Mason, and a member of Buford Masonic Lodge 292 F&AM, a member of Royal Arch Chapter 48, and a member of Arnold DeTroy Commandery. He was a member of the N. T. Pirkle Council # 065. He was a Shriner and member of YAARAB Temple where he played in the Shriners band for forty years. Mr. Entrekin was a member and Past Master of Gwinnett DayLight Lodge 744 F&AM in Lawrenceville, GA. He was a member of Eastern Star OES Buford Chapter #317 and Anne Wynn Chapter #203.
Mr. Entrekin was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford where he played the tuba in the orchestra.
All Masons and Shriners will serve as Honorary Es**rt, and meet at the church by 1:45 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford with Rev. Ted Williams officiating. Mr. Entrekin will Lie In State at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time for the Service. Interment with full Masonic Graveside Rites will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, April 12 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ivy Creek Baptist Church.
