From May 23–30, adoption fees for most animals will be waived for active-duty military, reserves, veterans, and their immediate families at the SPCA Serving Erie County.

Thanks to the generosity of Kristen and Tom Pulvino, this special program is our way of saying thank you to the heroes who have served our country. We can’t wait to help more deserving families find the companionship, comfort, and unconditional love of a shelter pet!

Our Erie County SPCA will be offering a Pet Loss Support Group❤️🥰

Losing a pet can leave a quiet space in our lives that feels impossibly big. To offer comfort and connection during that time, the SPCA Serving Erie County is launching a Pet Loss Support Group for anyone grieving the loss of a beloved animal companion.

The first meeting will take place on Thursday, June 18, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 300 Harlem Rd., West Seneca. This initial gathering is the start of a safe, supportive space where people can come together in shared understanding. The session is free, open to adults 18+, and requires no registration — participants are welcome to show up and be part of a compassionate, judgment-free environment.

Whether your loss is recent or long ago, all grief is welcome here.
