Truly Rooted Community Market will be closed on Friday as we join our community in celebrating Juneteenth at the Masten Family Reunion!

We’re excited to support our friend and partner, Councilwoman Zeneta Everhart, and be part of a day dedicated to honoring freedom, culture, resilience, and community.

Juneteenth is about celebrating how far we’ve come while continuing to invest in the future of our neighborhoods. We couldn’t think of a better way to commemorate the occasion than by gathering ✨with our community, in our community✨

We can’t wait to celebrate another year of freedom, connection, and joy alongside all of you.

What a beautiful way to kick off the very first farmers market in Martin Luther King Jr. Park and the Masten District! 🌱💚

This vision was rooted in community from the very beginning, and we are incredibly honored to partner with Councilwoman Zeneta Everhart to help bring it to life. Her commitment to ensuring that residents have access to fresh food, local resources, and opportunities to connect with one another is what made this moment possible.

Seeing neighbors, families, vendors, community organizations, and local leaders come together for our launch day was a powerful reminder of what can happen when we invest in the communities we love. From fresh produce and local businesses to wellness services and live music, this market is about more than food—it’s about creating a space where our community can gather, thrive, and grow together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for opening day. We are excited for all that is to come and look forward to making Masten’s Rooted in the Park Farmers Market a staple for the neighborhood all season long.

🌱✨ Join us for the launch of Masten’s Rooted in the Park Farmers Market at Martin Luther King Jr. Park! ✨🌱

Rooted in Love is proud to partner with Councilwoman Zeneta Everhart and the Masten District to bring a new community-centered farmers market to Buffalo’s East Side.

Spend the day shopping local vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, teas and herbs, apothecary products, flowers, and more while enjoying music from DJ P Nasty. 🎶

We’re also excited to offer FREE wellness services provided by our friends at UB’s Health on Wheels team, including blood pressure screenings, nutrition education, and other health resources to support community wellness. 💚

📚 Featured Community Activity:
Join our partners at for a Read on the Lawn Day! Bring a book and blanket, relax in the park, enjoy the music, purchase a new read from the bookstore, or attend a live community reading at noon.
